Are there any coaches in the Steelers organization that would make a good HC or other coach?
No one ever mentions Steeler coaches and as much as I hate the Steelers, they are the best run football team for the past 50 years.
Wouldn't it be worth the look to bring some of that well run org over here to what's been clusterfuckvile?
I don’t think so, I think it’s just a great HC and owners that know what they’re doing. They don’t see to have an assistant HC and both OC and DC are nobody special.

Here is a name that is outside the box but could be a sneaky one to watch out for in the coming years.
Chris Hewitt, Ravens assistant HC, Pass game coordinator and secondary coach.
Ticks a lot of boxes for me!! Comes from an organisation that consistently wins, learnt from a HC that’s a great CEO type, helped develop a two time MVP, but also has an impact on both sides of the ball.
Doesn’t call plays but, as he has experience on both sides of the ball so should be very good at planning and scheming game plans.
After he backed out of the OC job I don't see the Raiders giving him a call
We will never know what happened, but I don't think he signed a contract, so there is no question of backing out. The reports are that the negotiations broke down on #(years). In hindsight, it was the Raider's loss, for they hired Getsy, who proved that he was a bad offensive coordinator.

I just don't see there not being bitter feelings and him getting offered a other position

Looks like a few teams will be looking for coaches next year that doesn't exactly help us land someone decent.

Legally he had the right to move on, but I don't agree with the decision...... I think it was more about the ability to work with a top 2 pick at QB than any contract issue and I get that, I just think if you tell someone you'll do something you should do it. But, whatever. I'm not sure it was a great loss for the Raiders, as I think the real loss was in hiring Getsy - I suspect you could have hired someone else who would have been better than Kliff (I'm not a fan of him as a long term hire).

Once Daniels slows down a bit and/or teams figure out how to successfully defend him, I'd expect his offense to run its course and that will be that.
I was surprised that Kliff was the choice in the first place.
I wasn't. He was the flavor of the moment. Pierce obviously saw a creative offensive mind and since he is neither creative nor offensive minded it made sense. Where it fell apart is because we had O'Connell as our only real option at QB in the moment. Kingsbury does not run an offense that makes sense with O'Connell and the options beyond O'Connell in free agency were not appetizing at all.

I am going to float out an option that just screams Turnip. And hear me out, because it makes sense and is stupid as hell at the same time: Gruden
Enough time has passed to allow the hate to subside. Davis hand picked the guy and gave him the stupid contract, which is all true, but now Telesco is the GM with decision making power so all Gruden would do is coach and suggest, leaving the decision to Telesco. Further, my gut tells me we are all in on Sanders and Sanders is a perfect QB for the system Gruden runs. He is probably the single college QB that Gruden would trust simply because of the pedigree. This would be a move that would ensure the Deion effect would be tempered, surely something Goofy would want.
It all comes down to two things. Does Gruden want to try again and is Sanders a guy he would want to prove himself with? And since we are a team that has always been a redemption story franchise, this whacky thought actually makes sense. We all know that Goofy did not want to lose Gruden, but bowed to public pressure. Has it been long enough to allow the wounds to have healed? Hard for me to say. But keep in mind, with the ouster of Snyder in shame, the attention toward Gruden has been shifting slightly. And this move would be one that Maxx might support, not that it should be taken into consideration.
