Trade Carr to a team who attracts down field.
Maybe Carrs the greatest downfield QB ever but has been stuck in system after system after system after system that dinks and dunks.
When the Offense opens it up they score.
When they don't we stink.
Who knows

If we do not draft a QB this year, I may have to devote my time and energy elsewhere next season.
Mayock better not do the “we believe in Derek Carr” this offseason.
The fans and the organization deserve better. Carr is above average. Maybe you can have a winning season with him if the entire roster is perfect (which it rarely is in this league).

Problem is, he doesn't have a full season in him. He checks out at some point every year. He just wants to go home. Derek's problem is mental.
When he's "on" he's the best QB on our roster. Once he's checked out though, he's the worst, and Mariota (or just about anyone with some fire) would be the better option.
Getting curious how much our idiot owner has to do with hanging on to this guy. I know he falls in love with players. Al (even crazy Al) would've dumped his ass long ago.
I don't know much about American football but I do know body language.
Carr always looks rushed unless there's no pressure in the game, i.e. it'a already lost or already won. When it's a competition he looks like he has no time.
If you can't scramble, and he can't, then to be successful I would think you need to be able to stay cool in a pocket that's restricting. Too many times Carr just doesn't. You can see his nerve go time and time again.
It's either that or every receiver we have is never good enough and by comparison, nearly every other team some how has competent receivers. That seems statistically unlikely.
Burrow was under more pressure but always looked more composed, more time aware and had more confidence in himself. I don't know anything about Burrow except the Raiders would have scored more points if he was their QB yesterday.
Seems like you understand it just fine.

Carr and his Bea Arthur hair can play out the rest of the year, I really don't care at this point
Next year we can blow up this thing and start year 22 of the rebuild

derek carr is not dink or dunk quarterback like brady, he's better off using vertical deep passes like those first 3 games of the season
quit running the ball when it isn't there

even 2016 12-4 season is a mirage
we got lucky breaks in few games like the saints, chargers, etc...
that team was 8-8 season talent

Carr has gotten a raw deal here with this organization what a shit show! how many HC and OCs and different wide receivers just a total shit show. No one here wants to talk about the shit show that Carr has been playing with his whole career here but it’s been exactly that ! name one quarterback that’s been through more shit than Carr and has been successful.

Carr isn't going into the last year of his contract as a lame duck, so a decision will have to be made one way or the other.

I mean the guy is a veteran, not a rookie. At some point you have to suck it up and will the team to a win.
I did not see any suck it up, I just saw suck

Here's Derek's anthem. He needs to get to it. Quickly. You can send him your money too.

I'm going to put this question out here in hope for a serious answer.
Name one QB that has been through as much SHIT as Carr and has been Successful?

Brett Favre lost his dad and KICKED OUR ASS the next day. There's no excuse for a QB to play half assed as Carr has the last few games. He's checked out. As per annually.
