I'm not a Carr guy, I believe we'll always come up short with him at QB.. but holy fk is Josh Dubow one pathetic MF. Guy has posted all day every day about Carr for the past 3+ years. His whole twitter is him posting obscure stats & arguing about Carr with fans. It was kind of funny at first but it's actually pretty weird and pathetic at this point.
I would say the Carr fans arguing that he is better than Brady or Aaron Rodgers are the pathetic ones. I love reading Dubow tear those dipshits apart (That was just this last week).
Every idiotic action deserves an equal and opposite reaction. Dubow brings balance.
He also agrees Carr is 11-13, so maybe, just maybe, some people can't handle the truth about their idol. 11-13 is correct and is not an 'obscure' stat.

And when he tweets, he is not a journalist, he is just tweeting, but the stats he comes up with are amazingly fun.

One of the more creative football guys on twitter. If he was doing that stuff for a division rival people would be loving it, but because he gets after Carr and at times Gruden and the team people get bent.

IMO, he does a good job of choosing stats that really tell a meaningful story and get to the heart of what makes Carr flawed. He does seem to embrace a troll persona, but more often than not, the statistics he cites are intellectually honest evidence to defend his takes.
For instance, he makes the point that the Raiders failures hve not been purely the defenses fault, and cites the fact that Carr’s record when the defense allows fewer than 20 points (~.600) is among the worst of starting QBs. It’s kind of an obscure stat, but it really makes a compelling point: even when the understaffed defense manages to do its job, Carr has a worse record than even guys like Trubisky. There’s no way to say “well the defense didn’t do it’s job!” because he has isolated the incidents in which the defense DID do its job. His other stats are similarly nuanced. As I said, he definitely enjoys being a troll and having “haters”, but just because he frames his takes as jabs doesn’t mean the content is less compelling

Either they lose their shit, which is pretty entertaining, or they actually open their eyes to reality and get just a teeny-tiny bit smarter, which is good for the world. Win, win.

The disrespect is all on the side of the thin skinned fans who hate what the numbers represent. He stays largely above the fray.
Of course I am not referring to anyone around here, but you read his comments section and it is a hoot and a half how many people get bent over this stuff.
Remember folks, the numbers do not lie, they just represent a snapshot of an aspect of the game. No number can ever capture the entirety of a player's abilities. Josh just takes a lot of snapshots that demonstrate the ongoing futility that is the Raiders as a whole.

They are meaningful just not mainstream stats

I am not. The Raiders paid him 1.5 million per game from '17 to '21.
The only major injury here he could not play through was in '16, that one he would have missed significant time for. It just happened at season's end, right after a 17/41 117 yard performance at KC.

Thinking about the AFC WEST…
If I were Josh I would come up with some drills that help improve the technique and processing skills required to make a play…after the play breaks down. (both on offense and defense)
When you are in a division with Mahommes and Wilson, it might be a good idea, given both are skilled at extending plays and improvising with their WRs when the play has broken down. Extensive practice may polish the technique required to continue to cover without the ugly holding penalties that often occur.
AND, I do think that Carr could develop more chemistry with his WRs and he may just begin to see that when a play breaks down…it simply becomes an opportunity to break the backs of the defense who think they have defended the play by STILL making a play.
Often after games, you hear from players, coaches the following cliché: If a play here or there went a different way, it would have been a different game. And do think that some games do simply come down to a play here or there going a different way.
When I watch a game where the defense does everything right and the play breaks down and STILL the offense finds a way to improvise and make a play….it is that type of play that can kill momentum for the D or gain momentum for the O. It can at times suck the wind out of the D.
Unlike many, I do think that such skills can be improved and polished. And success in practice can turn into success on the field.
Just a thought…
