I don't love this. I get it, but I don't love it.

You should have seen this forum in 78 when we signed Plunkett.BoKnows81 wrote: Sat Jun 27, 2026 3:48 am Weird obsessions with a mediocre (then) and completely washed (now) QB. And why? Only bc he's wearing Silver n Black.
Lol I can only imagine hahaToast wrote: Sat Jun 27, 2026 8:14 am You should have seen this forum in 78 when we signed Plunkett.![]()
Cousins is a means to an end, and like other sacrificial lambs over the years, I hope he survives long enough to get the kinks out of the Oline so we can have the future take over. He was not my first choice by any means but him taking the lumps just extends the mileage for Mendoza by a few games. I might even enjoy watching the strategy employed in how they play Cousins setting up the offense.
See above. Bc he's wearing Silver n Black. That's it. If he was starting on any other team in the AFC West, they'd be celebrating. It's the same ones that fell for Geno too.Raider_Dave wrote: Sat Jun 27, 2026 11:13 am Cousins looked 100% done in Atlanta the last couple years. A shell of his former average self.
Why people are even sipping cool-aide on this guy is beyond me.
That's fair, but I would say that was pre-achillies, but he's has more time past that now which is considered good, but now he's old. +1 -1 +1 -1.rich72 wrote: Fri Jun 26, 2026 9:19 pm I remember whenever we faced a team with Cousins on it, he was a threat to us going in. It was never thought of as a walk in the park when facing a team where Cousins was going to be the QB. Even if we won, we never went in thinking it was a gimmie because he was semi dangerous.
Yeah he has had a solid career but he really has looked like he is finished lately. I have no problem with the signing as they are obviously not wanting to rush Mendoza into action. I think he can help Mendozas transition and make it a lot smoother but I am not expecting much from Cousins on the field. I honestly think the team doesn't eitherRaider_Dave wrote: Sat Jun 27, 2026 11:13 am Cousins looked 100% done in Atlanta the last couple years. A shell of his former average self.

LMAO. Cousins will have about as much trade value as half a box of slim-jims.mstrbass2000 wrote: Sat Jun 27, 2026 10:38 am cousins is a nice placeholder for fernando, will be a great backup and potential trade candidate also
