makes sense. easily the best job available outside of the one he just left. I can already see a Harbaugh brother Super Bowl in the future. John moving to the NFC is good for the NFL.

That's strange..... I keep seeing Saleh as the favorite in articles I read.
Yup, I suppose like most things, it depends on what the "rumor du jour" is.

I'd expect Stefanski to be the next domino in all of this.

Until we actually interview someone I'm definitely not putting them as a favorite. Kind of like Flores. I haven't seen where we even put in a request to interview him. But people are still saying he's one of the favorites

Flores just looks like a Baltimore or Pitt type of coach

Thanks.
So that clears that up. Spytek with input from Brady are in control of the coaching search, and whatever HC ends up being hired will hire his own staff.

Rumour on the discords is Falcons going all out for Kubiak.

We'll see. Ideally it's simple to understand how you want things to go, but there are other teams vying for talent in the same pool and it takes two to agree to make it happen. Then who can they bring in with them? Does anyone ever just get all the coaches they want as their first choice? You're always compromising with these variables, that won't change.

Raiders.com now has a coach tracker...... although it's only tracking actual interviews conducted and not interviews planned or requested.

I don’t want to sound like that impatient fan, but it’s important to realize that once the first few dominoes fall, there will be a race to fill out coaching staffs and coordinators will also start getting plucked up fast with 9 openings. Raiders don’t want to end up like it was under AP where they had to settle for Getsy after all the good OC candidates were picked over. There aren’t a lot of key coaches on this staff that will likely hold over so they’re going to need to fill almost a completely new coaching staff.
Hopefully, they can quickly identify the best coach for this team and have him hire his staff in a timely manner.

Raiders panicked and hired Getsy after Kliff fell through. They could have instead taken a step back and interviewed a new slate of candidates including position coaches with upside.

I think we will be a much more attractive destination for an OC than we were with AP as HC. Mendoza, Bowers and Jeanty are a nice start, plus enough cap and motivation to build a good oline.
I think that DC will take more of a selling job, because it's Maxx and Chinn and a whole bunch of nothing for defensive pieces. On a lot of defenses you wouldn't even bother to mention Chinn.

My top 3 from the big coach list are all on teams still in the playoffs, so I'm looking to see if there's movement after some of those teams inevitably lose. If no movement, could be a sign that they want coaches from the remaining teams.
Not a true indicator, just fun speculation.
