If we get the 1st overall pick… the teams calling us will be the ones that need a QB. There’s no Myles Garrett level non-QB in this class and even if there was… we’re certainly not getting the same kind of offer we’d get from a team going QB.

Now, if we wanted to get cute and say we like QB2 or QB3 as much if not more then QB1… and we can move down, collect a haul, and still get our guy. Win-win.

I don’t trust us to execute something like that at all. We’d probably move down too far, have another team trade up in front of us and lose out on all 3… wind up drafting a middle linebacker or something.

While I empathize with your reason for wanting to dumb things down to a 1st grade level, losing out does not give us the first pick as you maintain. In the absence of another Ten victory, it will come down to a SOS tiebreaker. And while our current lead in that is comfortable, it is not insurmountable. The information in my post is useful because it quantifies our lead in a more transparent way than quoting current SOS decimal fractions, and it specifies exactly what combination of wins would be sufficient to clinch that tiebreaker.

While I appreciate you appreciating my work, its unfortunate the result that it conveys is lost upon you. And you were obviously too busy being snip to notice that at the end of my post, I put in a dumbed down version for you.

Our magic number to clinch that tiebreaker is currently 6. Ten's number is currently 17. Any game result in our favor from group 1 or 2 decreases our magic number by 1. Any game result not in our favor from group 1 or 2 decreases Ten's magic number by 1. Any game result in our favor from group 3 decreases our magic number by 2. Any game result not in our favor from group 3 decreases Ten's magic number by 2. When our magic number hits 0, and only then, the tiebreaker and the 1st pick is ours, with the concurrent condition that we lose out. Now even a 1st grader should be able to understand it.

Eagles and Texans are both beating us. Giants in week 17 could be scary. A Chiefs team that has nothing to plsy for could also be dicey, but they hate us so their pride probably kicks in for that one.

Wouldnt surprise me. They’ve actually played a number of pretty decent games against some good teams but just kept gassing them in the second half.

We might not cross the 50 ala Nola game against Houston. That D is no joke

Chiefs with nothing to play for will absolutely still want to curb stomp a division rival……….especially if it is believed to be Kelces last game

I think they'll try. A sharp Dart and picking 3rd is just fine. They have a chance to be a up and coming team.

Attyla wrote: Mon Dec 08, 2025 8:11 am The top guys are good, but it is a very small group at the top, maybe 2. But because QB is such a need every year, it is likely 3 to 4 guys go in the top 15 picks. If they come out, Mendoza, Simpson and Moore would probably all go top 10. Sellers might crack the top 15. I have been hyper focused on the QB draft prospects because that is our greatest need. I question if Simpson comes out, but am pretty sure on the other three.
Not sure on Moore, he has a 8 mill ++ NIL package waiting for him if he returns, most of the sentiment from his camp leans towards returning.
