On to the Pats
It was a tough call last weekend but not we go to the defending AFC champs if we beat them with a half dead coach we can do it now.

yea, he is talented, he did not quite average a catch and a half per game in college. And he played at pass happy schools. He was a prove it pick in the draft and he has not proved he is more talented than the guys on the practice squad.mranquales wrote: Wed Oct 07, 2026 3:03 pm Nailor out. Bech out. Looks like Donte Thorton will have an opportunity to prove himself. He's more talented than the others, he just needs to show it.
Maybe you are right, but he has been an overreach thus far and I am not optimistic Cousins has the arm to use his one skill, straight line speed. And 10 TDs in 47 games in college does not garner him being called more talented than anyone.

Fixed it. He isn’t more talented at this moment than anyone. Hands are suspect and routes questionable at best.mranquales wrote: Wed Oct 07, 2026 3:03 pm Nailor out. Bech out. Young sold the last game.
Looks like Donte Thorton will have an opportunity to prove himself. He's more physically giftedthan the others, he just needs to show it.

Yea, if speed were all that mattered, Bolt would have become the highest paid receiver in the league.Raidernation1979 wrote: Wed Oct 07, 2026 3:34 pm Fixed it. He isn’t more talented at this moment than anyone. Hands are suspect and routes questionable at best.

That's a great argument against another player...Attyla wrote: Wed Oct 07, 2026 3:41 pm Yea, if speed were all that mattered, Bolt would have become the highest paid receiver in the league.

Nailor has 5 catches for 52 yards in 4 games. Not sure we will miss him this week. Is that contract guaranteed?

What's WRONG with the Raiders' running game? Is Ashton Jeanty the problem, is the offensive line failing to create running lanes, or is there something bigger going on with the Las Vegas Raiders' offense?
Jesse Merrick and former Raiders wide receiver Ryan Scott Hoag went back and watched EVERY Ashton Jeanty carry to figure out why the Raiders are struggling to run the football through the first four weeks of the NFL season.
The numbers are concerning. The Raiders are averaging just 3.5 yards per carry on designed runs, the sixth-fewest in the NFL. They're also averaging only 0.3 yards before contact, with ball carriers getting hit at or behind the line of scrimmage on nearly HALF of their rushing attempts.
But here's where things get interesting: The Raiders rank 12th in ESPN's run-block win rate. So what's actually going wrong?
Ryan explains why he believes Jeanty doesn't look like the same explosive, decisive running back we've seen in the past, while Jesse breaks down the offensive line struggles, particularly at guard, and why there's plenty of blame to go around.
The guys also discuss how Klint Kubiak can get the rushing attack back on track against the New England Patriots, why Kirk Cousins is playing at such a high level despite the offense's shortcomings, and whether the Raiders need more production from their wide receivers.
Plus, Dont'e Thornton Jr. is back at practice! Could his speed provide the missing element in the Raiders' passing attack?
Finally, Jesse and Ryan turn their attention to the defense, what stood out against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, and how Las Vegas matches up against Drake Maye and the Patriots.

Too funny. I keep seeing these videos, messages, youtube "Breaking News" in football of the Raiders! All saying the Raiders have made trades to improve the team, or have acquired a player that is going to solve all the Raiders problems.
Then when I open the click bait, they're all talking about Thorton being back practicing with the team. So all these talking heads think Thorton is the savior now to the Raiders lack of deep threat WR?? Do these clowns even look at the game tapes?
It would be great if Kubiak can get something out of Thorton to help the team, help the running game. But I'm not holding my breath. Maybe a few plays Thorton running a fly route and order Cousins to throw it to him no matter what....just to send that message to the patriots.
