So, Mendoza is a process guy. His words and he says that a lot. I expect that we are about to see a higher intellectual approach to the game than we have seen since Gannon.

I didn’t catch that. Yeah, I think they both really exemplify what Spy and Kubiak like in players, and want as leaders. Truly self-starters self-motivators. They weren’t 5-Star, destined to succeed, football royalty, or whatever football’s equivalent of a “silver spoon” is. They’re as close to “blue collar” as can exist in the today’s modern sports world. Which is kind of a nice callback to Raider roots. Sure we had our rebels and wild men, but we were also guys that brought their lunch-pails to work.KillerRaider30 wrote: Sun May 03, 2026 2:33 am Interesting that Stukes' locker is next to Mendozas. Maybe by plan?
They're both high character guys and
Stukes going from a zero-star walk on to a three-time captain and All-American is pretty cool.
I can see him as a future leader of the defense with the way he spoke.
And whats up with Crawford taking day 2 off.
He went from jumping in the pool on his back, hands behind his head and legs crossed, the relaxed look, to talking about setting his aalarm clock?
Weird..
Maxx is the leader by virtue of seniority and success, but looks like Spy and Kubiak are already preparing for the future leaders of the offense and defense. Man it’s nice having intelligence at the wheel for goodness sake.
I saw something about Crawford, but the article was so vague I just kind of forgot. Took a look for more info and all I can find is it was precautionary due to the previous day’s “heavy” workload. Reading between the lines, young man’s gonna need to get some f’n endurance if he wants the respect of his teammates and the shields on his helmet.

Something to look forward to for the first time in a long long time. This feeling is right up there with what i can only imagine it will feel like when (in 40 yrs) Davis announces he is selling (the rest of) the team.Attyla wrote: Sun May 03, 2026 4:51 am So, Mendoza is a process guy. I was thinking that Brady and his rich Arab friends doing the flag league is their way to start getting in bed with the NFL so when the time comes they will already have a working relationship with the league to smooth over the process of then buying up every share they can get their oil stained hands on.

If Doofus lives to 110, PF Changs and Hooters will be the goto anti-aging clinics.AdamJoshua28 wrote: Sun May 03, 2026 7:23 am Something to look forward to for the first time in a long long time. Yah we all know or at least hope it won’t be that long, I’d like to be around to see it but hey it’s Davis and the Raiders he still might find away to f*ck us over.GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Sun May 03, 2026 7:27 am If Doofus lives to 110, PF Changs and Hooters will be the goto anti-aging clinics.

With respect to Crawford..... sometimes it's just not your day. I'll wait to see if it's an anomaly or a habit.

He said, Friday was a heavy workload and Saturday he was getting mental reps. What the hell does that mean.
Its like tapping out.
Im keeping my ears open on this guy.
On another note he said, all I have to do is....
When I hear a person say that it means to me he's saying, he has to be this or that.
Worse is when they say, all I have to is BEGIN to START to.....
And Crawford began sentances with that like 3 times.

No hate, curiosity. They asked him if it was injury related amd he said no.
