What the Raiders need.....2026
Next year the Raiders need to hire an up and coming offensive coach who has earned the opportunity to be a head coach. No more retreads or coaches who haven't worked their way up through the coaching farm. They tried hiring Ben Johnson and when that didn't succeed fell back on Pete Carroll. Hopefully we have better luck next year.
Draft a QB that can pair with the coach. No need for a retread QB unless a really great option becomes available (Stafford this year would've been great but was a pipe dream). I wouldn't mind AOC battling out the newly drafted rookie in camp.
Build the offensive line with the 2nd rd pick, through free agency, and a few we still have under contract. This is the most important step and hopefully the new coach can get a stellar O-line coach. IF Miller needs to be traded due to cap and his age I'm ok with that trade. Biggest issue is that the O-line needs to be the off season focus.
The defense also needs some help through free agency.

He'll defend ALL of The Turds failures/mistakes and place the blame elseware.........It's NEVER Carrs fault EVER......If 2 teams hadn't screwed him over he'd have a trophy case of SB's and been sized up for a yellow jacket long ago
Sadly there is at least one more who feels the same

What's your excuse for his Saints stint?SuperRaider wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 3:31 am Not really fair to judge Carr record; the Raiders defense under Carr most of career was really bad…

When Carr went to saints; that were in bad shape with salary cap wise….
Just saying; when Carr was starting QB for raiders; the defense was not good until Gruden finally got Bradley for DC coach and he only lasted a year….

Blaming the defense when the QB was below average on TDs per game? i blame the guy who could not score and was really bad in the red zone.SuperRaider wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 10:03 am When Carr went to saints; that were in bad shape with salary cap wise….

Just saying; since Carr left; all the QB’s that we have had now are actually much worse than Carr….I know Carr gone and he never coming back; but he did have some good game also; I pretty much saw every game that Carr played for raiders and you talking over 100 games at least and he did have some good games and he also had some bad games also;Attyla wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 10:05 am Blaming the defense when the QB was below average on TDs per game? i blame the guy who could not score and was really bad in the red zone.
Remember the Miami game a few year back; Carr scored TD with like 10 seconds left in the game and then raiders defense let Dolphins score and win the game…it was just crazy

So bc Carr was the shiniest turd in the bowl the last few years for us, that means we should bring him back? Stop.SuperRaider wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 10:36 am Just saying; since Carr left; all the QB’s that we have had now are actually much worse than Carr….I know Carr gone and he never coming back; but he did have some good game also; I pretty much saw every game that Carr played for raiders and you talking over 100 games at least and he did have some good games and he also had some bad games also;

He was not what you say he was. He was mediocre and could not score. And I do remember him throwing into triple coverage a yard short of the line with the game on the line with time and his blue chip TE breaking for the flag and would have had a great chance to score.SuperRaider wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 10:36 am Just saying; since Carr left; all the QB’s that we have had now are actually much worse than Carr….I know Carr gone and he never coming back; but he did have some good game also; I pretty much saw every game that Carr played for raiders and you talking over 100 games at least and he did have some good games and he also had some bad games also;

And frankly, I know for a fact that he spent 9 hours or more per day playing f[raiders_icon]cking video games rather than study his playbook and that resulted in Gruden having to dummy down the calls because he did not know the plays.
I could give one rats ass if he was better than Minshew, O'Connell and Smith. That is like saying Cabin Boy is a better movie than Wagons East, Police Academy 4 and Battlefield Earth.
