I’m done

Unread post by AdamJoshua28 »

I have been a follower of this team since the 1960s. Watched some amazing teams. Those Monday nights where we were unbeatable. Amazing teams, and amazing wins.

We haven’t done shit for over 20 years. This is the biggest joke in the f[raiders_icon]cking league. I lived in Boston for 18 years through the Patriots being basically Super Bowl contenders every year and everyone asked me why don’t just change teams I said some Raiders fan we don’t change teams.

Well, I’m not changing teams, but I see no point in watching this shit anymore, does this ruin the day for you already? The text are coming in from my friends same thing every week every month every year

All I can say is, I’m glad the NHL is back

Good luck gentlemen maybe I’ll come back after that shithead piece of crap that owns the team sells it but until then I’m done with this f[raiders_icon]cking team. I wasted too much of my f[raiders_icon]cking life worrying about these f[raiders_icon]cking crap players. Bullshit coaches bullshit moves.

f[raiders_icon]ck them and f[raiders_icon]ck Mark Davis

You don’t have to bother to reply you can delete this really don’t care logging out now. Maybe I’ll be back in a few years after the team is sold.

I spent two months in the hospital this summer with Acute Necrotizing Pancreatitis.

0/10. Would not recommend.

The 20 plus year debacle really doesn't phase me anymore...sure I would like to pull for a winning team, and the Raiders are the only team I have pulled for in my 67 years...so switching teams isn't an option, but at the end of the day I could care a less about the Raiders.

If someone decided to root for a new team? At this stage I would not blame them in the slightest.

Just when you or I did that the Raiders would start winning. I have been in for too long.

We hung in there after the 1990 AFC Championship implosion. What about Super Bowl XXXVII? That to me was the closest thing to experiencing what William Wallace went through in Braveheart.

I have been a Cub's fan for forty plus years. They might not win another series but the 2016 win over the Indians made it all worthwhile. I nearly quit rooting for them after the way Steve Bartman was treated, but most Cub's fans are drunken bafoons anyways.

Sure as god made green apples the Raiders are going to turn it around and it may be sooner than we think.

I can't do that. I half ass root for the Browns because my whole family are Browns fans.... and they are the local team. My brother and I get together for the Browns/Raiders games. This year will be his year.... no way the Raiders can take the Browns this time.

Each person draws the line. My point is at this stage I don't hold it against a person switching to another team if that's the best move for them.

At this point what does being a fan of the Raiders even give a person? Nothing but unending misery in the football sense.

Or if we put this another way. Say you had a forty year old car. Over the last forty years the car's run horribly, has mechanical problems, needing unending amounts of money and had 18 mechanics in succession to keep it limping along. Add to this, it goes to the body shop every 2-3 years for a "new" coat of paint and copious amounts of Bondo to cover the damage to the body but never solves the actual issues.

In those 40, only 8ish or so years did it actually run and in a few of those years just barely so. Most years its broken down by early October (you only got it on the road in September) and by Christmas you're wondering why you ever bought the car in the first place.

Would you ever tolerate that from your vehicle?

Yet for some reason as fans we tolerate it where we never would from our vehicles.

I’m sure they have this same conversation on a weekly basis in Cleveland and other fan bases. Last year Carolina fans were excited to watch football again after slaughtering us at home—Like it was some milestone victory or something

I'm not a Browns fan.... I just root for them because they are local and it's good for the area if they are winning.

Oh, I know. I spent eight days in a coma for Septic Shock, during which time (I've been told):

1) I was hooked up to 18 IVs at once.

2) The doctors told my wife they didn't know if I was going to make it.

3) The doctors said if this had happened 10 years ago, I would not have made it, as some of the drugs they treated me with literally didn't exist then.

4) There was nurse by my side 24/7 whose job was to alert the doctors if I went into cardiac arrest. That was literally her only job: To just sit there by my side.

And when I woke up, I had to learn how to sit up, stand up, and walk all over again. My life these days is about working from home and checking the fat content of everything I eat (high fat is no bueno when you have a bad pancreas). But I'm alive, in my right mind, and have gradually increased my walking until I'm currently doing about 2/3 mile every morning before work.

And I thought I was having a rough day after todays thrashing! While it has been painful to watch, I am starting to focus on next years draft position lately. Every loss becomes a win! The Raiders are winning the 2026 NFL draft position battle, so we are actualy winning!

I will tell you what, drinking tequila clears the mind and puts it all in perspective. Imagine winning the first pick in next years draft. We have a serious shot at winning it.
