Free Agency thread for Raiders and league-wide
Free agency opens March 11. CBS Sports has their top 50 ranking. No Raiders on the list. I am surprised at a couple rated high - Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Jones. Lots of wide receivers

Maybe a package deal of McGovern and David Edwards? Little on the older end but that's ok for O line. It would address center and one guard position. Draft Ioane at 14 to address the other guard spot and see what you can get for JPJ or keep him as depth.
I think Linderbaum would be great for our run game but he's not as solid as a pass protector. I'd be ok with either center, just don't f[raiders_icon]ck up and bring Cushenberry here.

...I would prefer McGovern, though word locally is that after the bears trade, and where they supposedly hadn't had discussions on a new contract prior, they are now talking, so we shall see. ...I think the bills would rather replace the guard than McG.
,,,also, having nothing to do with this, earlier this morning, I heard a 'pop', looked out front, and a house down on the opposite side, saw a dude out looking at the front passenger side of his toyota whatever. little white car.
...turns out he had California plates, was apparently phone distracted, and sideswiped a telephone pole, with his car literally loaded with harbor freight stuff,
...anyway, as I went out to see if he needed a hand, and see him trying to stick pieces of his car back in to place, only to have them fall off again, I grabbed my breaker bar and socket, and his little car jack collapsed on the went dirt on the shoulder, I went back to my garage and wheeled out my low profile floor jack and got the pizza cutter on, and the kid on his way, hopefully. ...that had to have been every bit of 6 grand in damage....
...for you kids watching at home, put the phone away and pay attention.....

This might be a small one but i’d like to see Alex Ingold back, he fits everything Kubiak likes to do with the ball
Gives me shivers of what Jeanty might to with a lead blocker like Ingold in front of him
Andre Cisco is another i really want as the guy has had a nose for the ball in the past, i’m hoping the Jets didn't ruin him but i’d be happy with him & Chinn as our Safeties
We have to grab at least one of the premier LB’s
All this outside of Linderbaum & McGovern

I'd love to have Ingold back..... that wouldn't be a big money commitment.
Obviously I'd like Linderbaum or McGovern - I want a safe choice at center. In FA I generally want the safer players if you're handing out longer term deals.
Cisco would be an intriguing choice - he's the right age and probably not a huge amount of money coming off shoulder surgery.
I would look at one of the premier LBs coming into a second contract in FA. Then I'd also add a 30 something vet for less guaranteed money, and hope that a young LB takes the job soon.
We will need an edge rusher - Oweh won't be cheap but he's young and has a connection to Leonard. We'll need more edge rushers, but just one premier guy from FA.
We'll need more competition at guard, and RT and a second RB for sure. Oh and CB and WR.
Good thing we're loaded with draft resources and cap space.

...and Ingold can also be a dump off target who will get that occasional timely 1st down.....
....some bills news, as it could be relate to McGovern, they just worked with Ed Oliver to free up about 10 mill.....

They have to pay DJ Moore. They were cap strapped before they made that tradeWNYRAIDER wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 9:08 am ...and Ingold can also be a dump off target who will get that occasional timely 1st down.....

no doubt, next up, they are supposedly trying to redo Moore's and then Allen's, but on the flip side, they released 4 longer time contributors on the d side. ...not sure how they will even find solid replacements for those, and without a 2nd rounder, and with a bunch of others, as well.Goodtimes333 wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 9:59 am They have to pay DJ Moore. ...it gets real once those franchise qb's are no longer on those rookie deals......

I hope we call Kareem Hunt. He will not cost a lot and would be a perfect fill in for Jeanty. He can take the pounding and is great in short yardage situations.
