You're right about being stupid as no one in their right mind would think none of them declareRaiderFan1 wrote: Mon Dec 08, 2025 8:01 am There is zero chance of all 3 QB's making the stupid decision to go back for another year.
1. NFL 1st pick in the draft money is much better then NIL money, and the NFL money is for 4 or 5 years not 1 year.
2. They all know that they are in competition with each other for top draft pick, if one QB claims he's going back for 1 more year, the other 2 know they are both getting minimum top 3 or 4 pick money. Staying means even more competition with the other eligible QB's for next year.
3. You're making a huge assumption that these three QBs and their agents could be as stupid as a fan that would even think this could happen.
Fans are stupid
But I think you are probably not serious and a brain fart accidentally let that idea squirt out
I was being sarcastic as I think at least 2/3 will declare
NIL contracts aren't just a one year deal btw

He looked good enough yesterday to beat another 2 win team that we have coming up on the schedule. He looked much more suitable to play behind our Shit oline over GenoDeathStar24 wrote: Mon Dec 08, 2025 5:39 am Pickett isn't good enough to lead this talentless offense to a W. 2-15 is but a done deal.

Does NIL money continue after a player leaves college?Hellbound wrote: Mon Dec 08, 2025 8:04 am You're right about being stupid as no one in their right mind would think none of them declare

The top guys are good, but it is a very small group at the top, maybe 2. But because QB is such a need every year, it is likely 3 to 4 guys go in the top 15 picks. If they come out, Mendoza, Simpson and Moore would probably all go top 10. Sellers might crack the top 15. I have been hyper focused on the QB draft prospects because that is our greatest need. I question if Simpson comes out, but am pretty sure on the other three.chucker wrote: Mon Dec 08, 2025 8:00 am NIL money shrinks the gap on college vs NFL money. It doesn't really close the gap for guys with potential to be top picks though. And very few guys would choose to return to college because they don't want to get drafted by a particular team with a top pick - the teams at the top of the draft are often dumpster fires, and that's why their drafting high.
I don't claim to watch college FB to a degree that I can predict success so I want to draft a QB no matter what people say about this year's class. I've seen "bad" draft classes have really NFL QBs. It's time to make a pick, provide a good environment for that guy, and hope for the best.

Hmmm....good question. Im not going to even pretend to understand the ins & outs. I have no idea what happens when they transfer. I had heard that money on the initial NIL deals are guaranteed so if they transfer, does that school take on the previous deal and/or add their NIL deal onto it? Aren't you the resident cap/contract expert on here anyways!

There's a very good chance they all go 1-3 or top 5 at least. Agree on Simpson. Especially if he had another subpar game but When Trey Lance and Anthony Richardson are top4 picks, anything is possibleAttyla wrote: Mon Dec 08, 2025 8:11 am The top guys are good, but it is a very small group at the top, maybe 2. I hope we get first pick and then we have the ability to trade it to any team that doesn't need a QB. If we can trade back a few spots and get our QB. We might win 5 games maybe more if Pete goes.

I know squat about college FB. And I'm too old to learn anything new. I'm no better than a 74 year old NFL coach running continuing to run cover 3 despite all evidence to the contrary. Maybe I'll hire my idiot son to analyze the college cap situation. That couldn't fail.Hellbound wrote: Mon Dec 08, 2025 8:18 am Hmmm....good question. I thought all NIL deals are one year deals? They just get the money for the year they played. Nothing gets carried over.Hellbound wrote: Mon Dec 08, 2025 8:18 am Hmmm....good question. The only one I have knowledge of is Bryce Underwood who signed a 4yr/12mil dollar deal. It's not been reported but he's earned an extra 10-12 million this year on other sponsorships. Not sure who they are but examples would be Adidas and other brands so he's made approximately 12-15 million this year. Maybe they're all structured different? One thing for sure is that they have NIL money on top of of other sponsor moneyRickRyb wrote: Mon Dec 08, 2025 8:32 am I thought all NIL deals are one year deals? Pete is a genius. First coach since 2006 to lead us to the #1 pick so we can get a franchise QB. It’s 5D chesschucker wrote: Mon Dec 08, 2025 8:23 am I know squat about college FB. I guess the NIL $ is paid just like positions in the NFL draft. The QB's glom the NIL.

Just watched Mendoza get interviewed on Mcafee. We have to get this kid, everything about him is what this organization needs.
