Maybe Stafford winning a SB this past year will prove to those people that teams win championships not the Qb by himself.
Cause Stafford didn’t get better he was already a top 10 Qb at worst imo his team around him got better.

Some posters do not consider who's on the other side of Carrs passes.
Some posters do not understand the WR patterns in the west coast offense.
Some posters only watch the broadcast TV version and can't see if WRs are open or not down field.
Some posters do not consider the poor run attack inside the 5 and how it relates to the passing game.
Some posters think changing coaches and schemes every 2 years shouldn't effect the learning process of the 22. They feel the team should be able to pick up where they left off the last year.
Same posters think points per game is a QB stat.
They think the record 100% on the QB and has nothing to do with stopping other teams from scoring.
Those same posters expect Carr to post winning records though the team has massive short comings everywhere.
They feel a QB sitting in the pocket has something to do with WRs getting separation.
Waller has had 100 catch seasons bc he get open. Same for Renfrow and now Davante.
They should go research and lost ALL the WRs this team has had over 8 years and ask themselves if the QB has to thread the needle more often bc the WR can't separated leading to more ints.
They should make a list of QBs with the most wins and playoff appearances over 30 years and check to see if 99% of them had
1. a stable coaching staff
2. a HOF WR, TE or run game
3. a defense in the top 10
None of this matters bc they search and search for some stat that supports their point of view and then use it to make a conclusion.
And God forbid a poster is excited about the upcoming season and posts something positive. They are attacked by the the same bullies in mob fashion.
I may just use that ignore button bc I have very little for ignorance.
Now go ahead and attack me said posters, you know who you are. It'll make ignoring you that much easier.
Oh and I am officially done talking about Derek Carr. Hes a damn good QB who's been failed by the organization to put in place the pieces needed to sustain winning football.
8 years to get a #1 outside WR?
Change coaches 4 times?
Bottom feeding defenses?

Ignorance
Whining about the running game when you will only operate out of the shotgun, helps zero with the threat of play action, and only worry about pass protection from the line is some brass and hoping to hide behind recency bias and whiny bluster because generally we run well in the red zone but your boy is consistently mediocre to lackluster in the area.
Why is Jacobs beat up all the time? The poor bastard has to break a trillion tackles to move the rock!
If fool's gold is so put upon then be gone with him to greener pastures then!
No I'm not trying to be edgy. You simply can't compare a position like the QB without factoring in all the different major plots that come into play. Surrounding talent, coaching, playcalling ect. Stats mean f[raiders_icon]ck all. Rodgers is one of the best statistical QBs, and yet year after year after year he gets sent home. I will never agree with QB comparisons for any QB.
Year after year Rodgers gets sent home? He makes the playoffs almost every year and it's rare that he's one and done. So that's simply not true. But are wins a QB stat again? I'm just checking.
There aren't really a lot of numbers that support Carr being a top QB in the league, unless you ignore a lot of other numbers. The numbers might lead you to look at something deeper, but in the end it all comes down to the eyeball test and there are people who will never agree on that.
IMO he's an above average QB, but there are pretty much always at least 10 QBs I'd rather have - whenever I look at the list I seem to land around #12 for Carr regardless of whether the list is biased towards "youth and potential" or "focus on today". That's decent, but it's not great. Hopefully he makes me update that ranking into the top 10, or 5 or whatever. Time will tell.
This is the only site in the world where somehow these kind of numbers means your Qb is bad.
Maybe Stafford winning a SB this past year will prove to those people that teams win championships not the Qb by himself.
Cause Stafford didn’t get better he was already a top 10 Qb at worst imo his team around him got better.
So is your argument that Carr is better than rank 11-13? Is 11-13 "Bad" like you imply?
Again, basically everyone agrees that is his ranking right now. He has flaws (Otherwise he would be better than 11-13), and these very real flaws get pointed out. It is not like they don't exist. Similar on the strengths, those also exist or he would be 14 and below.
Similar question for KillerRaider30.
Why is ranking Carr at 11-13 wrong? Why do you feel he is better than that? Is it required that noone points out Derek's flaws, ever?

It is a thing to believe a player to be good, but find it weird that they have to defend Carr every time a flaw is brought up. Is Carr flawless?
Carr has a stable of offensive weapons right now that is elite. So, he better put up elite numbers and the offense should be dynamic.
Looking forward to seeing the juggernaut that is the Raider offense. But if it is not, if it derails, well I am sure that the excuse brigade will come out.
As stated earlier, I think Carr plays well when everything is perfect around him. I also think most QBs in the league do well in those conditions.
If adversity occurs as it regularly does in the NFL and things get less than perfect and the excuses start flying around, well, I will simply smile knowing that the fanboys also know that if things are not perfect around Carr he is unable to perform at a high level. That in the face of adversity he folds like a cheap shirt while other QBs find a way to fight and overcome. And their excuses simply add up to saying, things are not perfect....so how do you expect Carr to win.

Here’s 2020 for you. Browns had the #1 Oline. Raiders were 24th. Thats half Baker’s career with a very good oline.
And he had an excellent running game too.
And he went to the playoffs and won a road game.
