Who cannot wait to see Carr and Adam’s in action? Let’s lock Carr up and enjoy the ride to greatness!!! Can’t wait to see him prove the never Carr fans wrong!
Fine, but why MUST he be extended THIS year when he is already on contract? I can think of several reasons why Carr, himself would want the deal done now, but for the life of me, cannot think of one reason why a fan would want it done now. Not one.
Please give me one reason why a fan would want Carr extended now and not wait a year for the organization to make the decision.
It appears to me some on here are not so much Raider fans but Carr fans. It is almost like they become spokesman for Carr or something even weirder.
I follow several sports and and have a favorite team in each of them and participate on forums but I have never come across this sort of player first mentality before. I am sorry but I just find it really weird.
What is the problem with first seeing Carr in Josh's system to see if he can be that "greatness" you speak of and then extend him?
Those arguing that if we wait a year, the Raiders may have to pay more. Well, trust me, if he signs this year, it will be elite money. So, whether the Raiders sign him now or wait a year, the difference will be minimal. BUT, on the other hand, he falls flat on his face and it does not work, the organization is not married to Carr and has options moving forward.

"Blame me. Blame me always," Carr said. "I've got to do a better job of leading, and I've got to do a better job of getting our guys in better spots. That's my fault."
Been saying that forever apparently.. very disingenuous

Defenses fault.
Are we positive the offense was not the worst in the last decade also? It certainly has been at the bottom in terms of long term starting QBs. Fitz has been on quite a few teams.
Who can't get behind ponying up 40 million for the second worst long term starting QB at scoring points in the last 20 years, that is absolutely ridiculous.

Defense always on the field because of 3 n outs or 3 point field goals only.
For the Carr fans that hate people who criticize Carr, Carr is the one who needs to put up or shut up, not the other way around.

Cmon guys you saw Carr’s tweets. He doesn’t need negative energy, we must breathe life into him! He’s sensitive!

I believe if we sign Carr to an extension, we will lose Waller, Renfow and Jacobs next offseason . Our cap would be majority tied up between 2 DEs, LT, QB, WR. If we had Mahomes he could cover so holes by elevating his team but Carr requires everything around him to be effective. We could be in a bad way if this extension happen. Glad Zigs seems like he knows this

Dubow's latest info makes sense. Carr isn't a playmaker; he doesn't make things happen.
He would have to throw about 1 more TD pass per game in order to be in the elite QB discussion. That would suddenly improve that abysmal 21 points per game number to 28 (assuming he'd been doing that his entire career), which would make him worth a huge contract.
Again, for those who believe Carr is elite, I refer you to the playoff performances of the QBs during the divisional and championship rounds this past season. You wanna see what it takes to win big games, go look at those quarterbacks. That's today's NFL at its peak. The only alternative is what the 9'ers did; built a damn good D, had a couple playmakers on O, and a QB whose primary job was not to f[raiders_icon]ck things up. The coaches can put Carr in a position to not f[raiders_icon]ck it all up, but they can't build a league leading defense if they pay him like he's elite.

The other 10 players on the field also contribute a great deal to those points from the linemen blocking to the receivers catching.
