Aside from our record, the Raiders have a ton to offer a perspective head coach:
> top 5 practice facility
> top 5 stadium
> there is talent on this team
> Club will have about $120.0mm to spend in free agency and even more with some roster/contract manipulation if need be
> Hopefully, no worse than a top 3 pick
I wouldn't count Johnson or anyone else out. for all its faults, the club will spend money, and we have the advantage of no state tax.

[quote=BluegrassRaider post_id=1256640]Al has been gone away from here for 13 years.
Just the passage of time alone is a difference.
Also, the Turnip is not Al.
Al liked playing at GM, Al had his predilections on offenses and even play calling, Al was very controlling, Al was mercurial and hair trigger about his staffs.
The past may be prologue but it is not the next chapter
Living in the past (especially iterations of the past that are no longer applicable) and holding weird ass forever grudges gets us nowhere but in circles.
Circumstances, situations, and perceptions change.
Nothing should injure pride as much as perennial losing.so I don't give a tinkerer's damn of he turned us down last year. Keep knocking on the best doors.[/quote]I feel there are at least 2 words in there I should google

To be honest, as much as I want an offensive minded coach, I'm kind leaning wanting the Green Bay DC, Jeff Haley.

[quote=Dr Death post_id=1256561]He turned Al down. Why would he take an offer from the Turnip?[/quote]Seems I read he wanted both him and Kiffin, with Kiffin being the OC and Sark didn’t even like him. But that’s a rumor I read online after Kiffin was hired.

Kiffin made a good impression with Al and when Sarkisian withdrew his name from consideration Kiffin was more or less the fall back option.
At first Al wanted Kiffin to be the OC for whatever coach he hired, Kiffin balked and said he would only be interested in the head coaching position.

https://www.raidersbeat.com/raiders-und ... %20Tuesday.[/quote]In a nutshell, f’n Stupidfuckingclown Turnip boy is mandating that Telesco grab a QB.
Even more telling is this…
“Last year, Davis reportedly gave his blessing to GM Tom Telesco to make any move that made sense to get a quarterback in the draft.
“Sources say Raiders owner Mark Davis has given his blessing for Telesco and Pierce to make a move, any move… so long as it makes sense,” ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez reported in April of last year.
The Raiders are believed to have made a massive trade offer to the Washington Commanders for Jayden Daniels, but the Commanders weren’t willing to trade the pick.”
Which of course ended up with us drafting Brock Bowers, the best offensive player we’ve drafted since Tim Brown in 1988.
Despite that, now there’s a mandate we draft a QB in what at first blush seems to be a weak-ish QB draft from the stupidest owner in sports. (There are worse owners, but given length of experience, we have THE stupidest f[raiders_icon]cking owner in sports.)
I haven’t “hated” since I was young, but damn if I ain’t really f[raiders_icon]cking tired of the endless f[raiders_icon]ckery from this f’n dumbf[raiders_icon]ck dipshit clown. f[raiders_icon]ck him. Useless shithead.

“I’ve heard the football people there could be under a mandate to draft a quarterback in April,” Breer reported on Tuesday. “
Wow, that sounds some rock solid information. They could be? WTF does that mean. Either they are or the aren't and if these "football people" (whatever the f[raiders_icon]ck that means) are really in the know, they would know. This stuff is bullshit.
