If you're the next coach/GM and your goal is to win and have a job for the next 5-10 years, you would think twice about tying your wagon to a 30 yr old QB with a career losing record.
carr record is 3-12 against the chiefs
we aren't going to win the division or completing for the playoffs spot if we continue keeping carr for another 5 years
Imagine how many coaches he can get fired in 5 years though.

I want to move on from Carr. But every other QB in the division has sucked against the Chiefs too.
Maybe Herbert breaks the trend.
Rivers was 14-15 vs the Chiefs.
I'm guessing most of those wins were pre Andy Reid.

I do not think there is a lack of positivity in this thread. I think there is a lot of change going on and people are talking about how that change can affect the team. It is not limited to Carr who will be the first consideration at the end of the year. I do not see that as a negative. Injecting some stats into the conversation, while nice, does not change the balance of the conversation. He had a bad game, no doubt about that, but the bigger picture surrounding the team, primarily the GM and a new coach will move the needle on the entire team makeup. Again, this is not a negative, it is a reality we are about to experience. None the less they are pretty stats, but even with an improved defense we are still mediocre yet again. This time nobody can shout from the mountainside that the defense is the primary reason we are mediocre.

I don't think Derek was scared. He was pressured. A lot.
On the one play where we actually got pressure on Mahomes, he looked similarly bad.

That carries much more weight than anything posted here or any other forum or media.
