Adams chose to play with his favorite team growing up as a child being from the Bay Area… I’m sure he’s excited to hook back up with his old college QB but I wish people would stop making it seem like Carr is the sole reason Adams is a Raider lol…
It is the reason. NFL Players don't give a shit about their favorite teams growing up. He came here to play with Carr. If Carr was traded, Adams would not be playing for the Raiders.
I never sad I was a huge fan of Carr, because I'm not. I just stated a fact that when he had Amari, which was somewhat considered a number one reciever, Carr was an MVP candidate. Carr then got injured and it seemed to mentally lower his confidence, he just wasn't the same for quite awhile.
Amari got traded, and we've never really had a true number one reciever since. Now we have one in Adams, and I think it will show up big in his play this season. Carr has alot of flaws, interceptions, fumbles, difficulty scoring tds settling for field goals, etc.
But he does throw for alot of yards, and we now have guy that is a proven scorer, and Carr in my opinion will be back in the category for MVP. Sports shows on TV have commented on it. You all should hope its true, rather than being so negative and expecting the worse. I think this will be his best season. Thats my opinion.
If you read my posts, I do hope that Carr wins MVP and that Leatherwood turns into a great RT or even G, and that the Raiders win the SB and if you must know, that I win the lottery. But unlike many I am not picking up any pom poms and going to become some fanboy and simply ignore what I see.
Over the last 20 years the Raiders have been mired in the muck of mediocrity at best, and have witnessed a lot of average at best when it comes to Carr. Could he all of sudden, turn the page and become a winner. I guess, it is within the realm of possibilities but think I will wait to drink the Kool Aid, and hope the present regime does the same and waits to extend Carr until he proves that he is worth extending.
That said, I am excited about this upcoming season, I think it will be VERY interesting given all the changes made in the AFC West, but no, I will not be placing any bets any time soon. But, I am hoping for the best, even though it is quite apparent that I am keeping my expectations in check.
P.S. I do think I am in a small minority that are far from convinced in regards to the expectations for next year. I simply doubt that Carr is the QB that can bring it in a highly competitive AFC West. I HOPE I am wrong.

gee, let me think, does Brady value his MVP awards or his rings?
I could give one fuck about the MVP. I want the ring. Gannon won a MVP but we don't sit around praising his award.....hell no, we lament the lack of the ring.

The last time I was in 9th grade, the Raiders won a Super Bowl.

When Gannon won his, the Raiders went to the Superbowl. So if Carr gets MVP, then I think theres a higher possibility of us getting to the Superbowl, cause that means we are playing well.. Besides, I never said he would win it, I just believe he will be up there this year because if our offseason.. just my opinion. I'm just hoping for a great Raiders season.
Those fucking idiots using points scored as a stat…wtf is wrong with people lmao
It's the same type of idiot that was mad at our D last year when we were up 10-0 on Cleveland at the half (I'm not kidding). To these folks, Carr is all that matters and if Carr isn't putting up points, then the defense should be scoring for him.
Someone else said it the other day, so I'll say it too. I'll be glad when Carr's gone and one of the primary reasons is because all these Fresno State fanatics, and assorted fucking weirdos will go with him. I think that we're lucky here in this forum in that there are few, if any, who are Carr fans rather than Raiders fans. They do pop up occasionally, but quickly get clowned on and leave.

He may have been able to mentally heal after the leg being broken, but the back injury was the nail in the coffin. There was also talk his o-line let him take that shot on purpose because he didnt kneel for the anthem. If true that would really shake anyones confidence.

He has said that he wanted to play with him but never that he wouldn't have came here if Carr wasn't here
He may have came here for the money because why cause a scene about not playing on the tag & wanting paid
Secondly all he has talked about since he came was how much of a dream it was to play for the Raiders so why is this not his reason
Why is that people state opinion as fact
Should be 1 million per season, per touchdown for carr. With a penalty for turnovers.
Dude would be in the negative this season
The only advantage of us re-sign Carr is that we’d have the ability to shift him down the road for picks as team with always trade for a guy they think they can fix just look at Carson Wentz, it might not be as much as we can get now but it’ll be something
I hate the thought of re-signing Carr without him having actually proved himself in this offence but i have accepted that we are rolling with him no matter what
What really worries me though is backup WB being the biggest weakness on this team if Carr goes down, Gilbert being our backup is not good i’m hoping that we maybe draft a guy with potential to develop or some how pick up a sure handed vet
