no, that is not anywhere near correct. They are a division rival, our biggest

those are huge games every year
So every division game is considered a big game? In that case Herbert chokes in big games. That’s sarcasm, he nearly came back in spectacular fashion. I would consider that a big game though. A mid season division game, probably not. Outside of last season (2020) the Chiefs definitely have Carr’s number that’s for sure.

Let's focus on his one playoff game since you want that as your goal posts. A garrapolo rated sub 70 passer rating (69.2) is choking.

He was called out four separate times for missing wide open receivers on national television. One was good tor 7 that he missed by locking onto Waller. He choked.

That panicked, hurried, 4th down to end it (with literally no pressure....)- that is also on Carr choking.

He played like a bad rookie in his big game. I wish the sample size was larger, but years of Carr choking in the playoff hunt prevented that from happening.

So that’s a good example. I’m merely asking what other big games he choked in. No one really answered outside of you. I’m not saying anything about his overall body of work, just want to know what big games he choked in. I stated he hasn’t played in many because the team hasn’t been good. I’m not arguing that’s not his fault, just asking about specific big games.

Carr has had great games, once in a blue moon, but I don't recall Carr playing his best ball when games are really important in his 8 year career.
YIKES!

We do not talk about Carr because he is Carr. We talk about Carr because he is the QB of the team. When he leaves, it simply means our focus will be on whoever takes over the most important position on the team.

SHIT! We are not here obsessing over Carr....we are here because we are fans of the team and QB being the most important position...well, of course it gets action.

That said, maybe some here are obsessed with Carr and will take their fanboy ass elsewhere when he is gone. I don't know, and don't care.
A QB that people generally agree on certainly doesn’t lead to a near decade of bans :bawling: Beyond being our QB… carr specifically, gets a ton of action because he’s polarizing as hell. That’s all I was getting at.

Not balling out, but threw two tds and no turnovers. However it was stated he chokes in big games, but outside of the Bengals game no one has had an answer

And because you play your division in the final game of the season, those other 5 division games weigh heavily. And yea, Herbert lost that division game which is huge.

And our biggest rival traditionally is the Chiefs so every time we play them is huge. I can guarantee you those games get circled as soon as the schedule comes out. The Chiefs have owned us for a long time and Mahomes gives them a punchers chance for the foreseeable future.

He threw 2 picks… he also completed a 4th and goal TD pass to renfrow on our 2nd last drive to take the lead… followed by the best play of his career IMO on the 3rd and 10 TD/down by contact play to renfrow that basically won us the game.

In other words - Carr dug us out the hole he made. That is just choking in quarters one through three, and no chance that counts.

Carr only threw for 186 yards.
We had 174 yards rushing that game.

Carr game managed that important game. Herbert made some incredible plays but it was not enough -Herbert choked on that one.

Carr barely hit over 50% of his passes though - if he was passing better we would have won handily. I would not say he choked, but man like 55% completions on a 175 yard rushing performance is not far from that.

That is definitely not proof that he is not a choke artist.

* Big games are playoff hunt games - how many hot start years under Carr with us favored (sometimes heavily) to make the playoffs by week 8, only to be followed up by a spiral into losses. 75% of his seasons at this point? That is choking.

Hell, this year we won 4 in a row, but Carr was awful in those 4 against covid decimated teams. He was carried to wins while choking as usual.

You don't get to pick and choose what games matter. The answer is all of them when we get in the playoff hunt.

If you say only the playoff game counts - well choke he did. End of discussion I guess - he is a choker, or did you want to move goal posts yet again?

That loss goes to the play calling. 54 pass attempts from Carr! That was f[raiders_icon]cking ridiculous decision making considering our run game and blocking had really improved the last several games. Jacobs only had 13 carries and on those carries he averaged over 6 yards per. WTF do you think is gonna happen when you're throwing 54 passes???
