Haha. My buddy mentioned Adams family was moving West. My other rockstar friend can be seen on the sidelines with the owner of the Raiders a couple times a year. I read all this crap on here and have to say it's 75% bullshit
Even cooler story bro
It's pretty clear that you have nothing. I have what's have. I know people and you predict people. Conjecture is your only tool. Your another armchair qb. Nothing more
News flash you know nothing about me and conjecture is what forums are for.
So far 0-2, but hey keep swinging.
Oh and BTW you going to respond about your contradictory statements? I’m guessing you’ll keep deflecting,
I'll say it again, I cannot wait for the day Carr is out of here and takes his fan club with him. That's all.
As a member of said fan club, I can say I shall be here long after Carr. I’ve been here 7 years longer than you have as it turns out. I was here during the dark times before Carr. Also your wait will be very long because Carr will be here another five years after he gets that upcoming extension
Your trippin...Raiders will beat Cincy Carr and Crosby will beat Burrow.
Hmmm weird go on blast about conjecture and engage in it yourself?
And it’s you’re BTW.
And it’s you’re BTW.
The main reason I’m optimistic is McDaniels (as a coordinator) had made every QB he’s touched look good/great. One of them is obviously great regardless.
My hope is that he helps develop Carr and it translates to points and wins. I think he’ll get a 2-3 year extension now which I’m not a fan of but willing to eat crow if he becomes a winner.
To me, this isn’t a “McDaniels sees what we can’t see in Carr” situation. It feels like a coach’s ego like Gruden saying, “he has the tools, we can polish his game.” I don’t have Mark’s cell phone number, these are just my opinions.
All the self made experts on this forum have been exposed. I'd like to see some humility but i don't expect it. Kenny Powers, Raider bulldog are an example of true knowledgeable Raider football fans. And many more I haven't mentioned. The rest of you Pilgrims need to check yourselves. Your grasp on reality and the Raiders is lacking and overemotional. It's embarrassing for us lifelong fans. Proceed
What the hell are you going on about?
What knowledge has been demonstrated? What has been exposed? Why should anyone be showing humility?
The team paid through the nose for a receiver nearing the end of his prime and gave up high picks for the privilege.
Okay, what is it that you think that proves that should exalt the select and lay low the impure?
The fact that you are beating your chest like King Kong and are seemingly stunned at the lack of knee bending without a snap played much less any wins and rings shows where the delusion and lack of contact with the whole purpose shows up advertised in thousand foot tall letters of fire.
Projecting like an IMAX about being emotional? You are so hopped up on Kool Aid and the ecstasy of the moment that you forgot all about playing real games and winning actual Superbowls.
From what quarter comes all the privileged entitlement to crow consumption without a damn thing happening on the field?
That is the definition of out of touch with reality.
Divorced from it as a matter of fact, as seemingly what actually happens on the gridiron isn't and never has been and never will be (unless circumstantially convenient perhaps) a part of the calculation.
Is Carr's play-fake or play-action going to get better? Is he going to suddenly have pocket presence? Is he working on identifying running lanes when his receivers are covered? Is the 9th season the one in which his field vision improves? Is he going to make things happen when plays break down? Is he going to play well down the stretch?
These are the same legitimate questions we've been asking every offseason since the end of the 2017 season.
We'll see.
I think his new thing will be throw in the direction of Adams and cross his fingers

Let's goooooooooooooo
why retire the thread, it is still about the QB. This thread has more relevance than ever since Adams surely did not come over to play with Carr for one season. This move all but assures us an extension is coming down the pike.
The simple is that going forward the OL or D (especially the interior) can’t be used as an excuse since we’ve gave up picks & spent money that could have been used to fix them
Crazy idiotic to use those resources on a position that could have been drafted for a fraction of the cost
With Carr as our QB, I just flat out disagree that acquiring a good vet WR is the thing that's going to allow us to compete for a division title. A single injury and suddenly the whole thing is for naught and the excuse machine is already fueled and oiled to up start firing on all cylinders again.
We acquired a WR to compete against Denver's, KC's, and L.A.'s QBs.
Defense, O-line, and a pounding ground game seemed like a better answer. Carr isn't a 35+ TD quarterback. He never has been and never will be. So if we're going to keep him, we have to rely on the things he does do well and then build out the rest of the team to carry us to the post-season.
This draft is deep in WR talent, which is likely why Green Bay was willing to give Rodgers huge money and let Adams walk. They kept their most valuable asset, picked up two high-ish draft picks, and we got a guy they consider replaceable.
We've been down this road with Carr; surrounded him with talent and made it to the playoffs once. Only when the rest of the team was allocated assets have we done anything (see last season).

Extended injuries kept most of the talent on the sidelines too.

I don’t want hear the D sucks or the OL sucks if we cant find talent to start because Carr fans are notorious for blaming everything but him
If Adams comes here & doesn't do anythin i don't even want to hear that it is Adams fault from this point on Carr shoulders the blame for this offence with McDaniels
Dont get it twisted i want it to work god do i want it to work like we all do & i think Adams is talented but i think we gave up way to much overall for the talent we have on this roster

The Adams trade happened, Carr is here to stay at least for the next couple of years. Unless he completely shits the bed, which is possible. Gonna just try to forget Carr's past and not look back.

Extended injuries kept most of the talent on the sidelines too.
This is exactly what I'm talking about when I said the excuse machine is ready to roll. And we've heard this one before. If only Carr had a Pro Bowl level O-line, Wr corps, and running game, then we'd finally see what he can do. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Carr can be evaluated on his game alone regardless of who's around him. When we had Cooper, Crabtree, and a solid running attack, Carr did well for a season. Then teams (Washington in particular) figured out his tendencies and he's been mediocre ever since.
Carr isn't a playmaker--at least not on any consistent basis. But his 9th season is when he's finally going to put it all together?
We'll see.
