Post Game thread - no moral victories, But…

Don’t believe in moral victories but the Raiders fought till the end.

In years past this team would have folded. It wasn’t perfect, it wasn’t mistake free but we just proved we can go toe to toe with the Chiefs this year.

mhmm. the optics justified that they are what their record says coming into today's game and it wasn't just a matter of who they played. the Raiders are the doormat of the AFC West no longer.

2. Cousins continues to impress. He gave us a chance to the last seconds, hard to be upset with that.

3. The O line needs to improve we’re fighting to get yards on the ground and we need that to improve.

4. Turnovers have helped us immensely this year and we are burnt by the this game.

Lastly? The chiefs fans are punch drunk with “ha suck it Faiders!” (I browsed their game day thread). The silver lining in this is that as of right now they still think “same old Raiders!”

Meanwhile we know it’s coming just not there yet.

Completely disagree on going for it. We are leading 13-10 at the time, it’s 4th and 2, take the points.
Maybe if its 4th and less than a years sure.
Maybe if we were losing then sure.

Going up by 6 at that point in the game with the out D was playing would have been huge

I expect he'll learn from this and correct.
Except he just said the opposite in his press conference. I’ve already said we are lucky to have Klint & I see very few who are bashing him as a HC.

I would hope after reviewing the game he’s humbled & realizes as good as he is you can’t get arrogant like that

Yep. Loses happen sometimes.

As Raider fans we have to go way back to when we were relevant aside from the blips here and there over the last forty or so years. So case in point 1983. We lost twice to Seattle in the regular season. Then beat them in the playoffs.

Difference time, different era but the lesson is still the same: "sometimes the other team gets a say in the matter, until they don't." Doesnt mean we are going to the playoffs this year, but the point stands.

We may have lost today for a variety of reasons but keep playing and battling like this? I like our chances against anyone.

Morons? I said in real before the 4 and 2 play we need to take the 3. Those 3 points proved to be huge….moron

There is a difference between pointing out that he made mistakes, which I agree he did. Those hyperventilating usually have :clown: :clown: :clown: :clown: emojis in their posts.

Opoponax50 wrote: Sun Oct 04, 2026 5:22 pm You don't have to insult anyone. We came away with 0 and could've had three and then we ended up losing the game by 3 points. It's fine to support a coach but it's also fine to be critical of what was an easily identifiable mistake at the time and what ended up being the scoring distance in the end.
There is no correlation between not taking the easy 3 & losing by three

If we take that 3 the game change maybe for the better but also maybe for the worst

That decision was early enough that it really was a non factor you can day it was a bad decision but you cant say it cost us

What really cost us was the fumble & we did well to come back from that it was just unfortunate we couldn't quite get over the line

It’s like people saying the Tuck Rule cost us that game when it didn’t cause we had a multitude of opportunities afterward to win the game or they say it coat us a super-bowl when we still have two games against good teams to play even if we’d won

People correlate things way to much without any true cause to do so

Upward and onward.
He offers way more arm strength. Teams aren’t worried about Cosuins arm & it shows.

I’ve always liked CousIns but we have a 20 year sample of his career.

Only thing Cousins has over Fernando is the experience but Fernando can only get that in one way.

I’d rather be 8-9 with Fernando than 10-7 w/Cousins for a 1 & done playoff appearance.

erickench wrote: Sun Oct 04, 2026 5:25 pm This could've ended in a tie if Kubiak didn't gamble on that one play where we had kicked the field goal and the Chiefs committed a penalty. Then again turnovers was our ultimate downfall.
No way you make that claim. Way too much football and scoring was done after that. Would the Chiefs have gone for 2 after their score. The next time we got down there and took the field goal, we may have gone for it on that 4th down instead of settling for the 3.

One more thing. The post game handshakes are something I always enjoy. Look at how Reid and Spagnulo conversed with Kubiak after the game Those two are great football minnds and Reid is in the top five when rating NFL head coaches, past or present.

The respect the hell out of Kubiak. They all know what we know, that Kubiak is the best young head coach in the NFL.

Looking at this it tells us what our eyes saw, a fairly close game:
https://www.espn.com/nfl/game/_/gameId/ ... fs-raiders

The Three issues?
Turnovers and Red Zone. We turned the ball over and the Chiefs didn't. They were 3/4 in the RZ we were 0/2.

That and Walker running for 177...

It literally cost us three points. There are mullion hypotheticals you can throw at it, but there is no debate that our HC took three points off the board. We already scored those points. He decided to go for it and we didn't get the yards. That means we no longer had the three points we'd previously had.

KC wasn't going to do anything differently behind by 6 or 3, and our D wasn't going to play them any differently in those circumstances either.
