If he is? I’ll be right there cheering him on.

Very much okay with being wrong about a player on my favorite team in this fashion.

We will know a lot more after this next year. Derrick Henry looked very mediocre his first year (actually his first two years) and hes been the best RB of the past decade.

This is my point.

I have never been enamored with the pick.

It’s a good pick. I’m just not expecting the next AP or Barry Sanders.

Actually, I think we differed a little...you said that "He’s good—not great to me. I expect good—not great."

I said "great - not good".

We have already seen what Jeanty can do in the open field and how hard it is for one tackler to bring him down.
So I have no doubt that Jeanty will be one of the top 3 RBs in the league once he is finally provided with an OL that prevents him from constantly getting hammered at or behind the line of scrimmage and instead opens holes for him to run through. He also needs to be used more as a receiver either on bubble screens or normal pass routes designed for RBs.

The line was so bad I'm not sure what Jeanty really is yet, other than he won't be worse off by having a better OL.

There are better running backs right now in the NFL I think, but they have some seasons to grow.

I think he's the 2nd highest draft pick RB in the league, so the bar need to be high for him.

Most of the top 10 RB's by yards this year were 1rst or 2nd round picks, so good scouting by the league.

And FWIW, he was robbed of the Heisman.
