Tank bowl rematch: Jags at Raiders game thread
Last year when Jacksonville came to Vegas, it was considered a tank bowl. This year the Raiders are still bad but the Jaguars are 4-3.
At this point is a Raider win really a loss?

Good game overall. Took it down to the wire. I think going for 2 at this point was the correct call. No playoffs anyway. Win like men or lose like men. Don't like the result but it was the right thing to do.

The QB for the Bearcats is promising. A project for sure... but he has an NFL caliber arm and I'm sure he could be coached.Raidernation1979 wrote: Sun Nov 02, 2025 4:36 pm There’s only one that looks good right now in Mendoza. I know some like the Oregon guy but he seems like a screen passer.

Going for 2 was shockingly the best decision I've seen from Pete all year. It was the right call.

As an organization we don't have the luxury of time to develop a QB. Any QB we draft has to be able to start Day 1.Dr Death wrote: Sun Nov 02, 2025 4:46 pm The QB for the Bearcats is promising. A project for sure... but he has an NFL caliber arm and I'm sure he could be coached.
We built the team the wrong way, i.e trying to do it without a franchise QB. As such the clock is ticking on the contracts of Bowers, Jeanty, etc. A properly run NFL team structures everything around the QB.
We are not a properly run team.

There is no QB in this next draft that can start day one...IMO.Willmark wrote: Sun Nov 02, 2025 4:51 pm As an organization we don't have the luxury of time to develop a QB. Any QB we draft has to be able to start Day 1.

I don't care. I'd take my chances on a rookie over having to watch this moron at QB again.Dr Death wrote: Sun Nov 02, 2025 4:54 pm There is no QB in this next draft that can start day one...IMO.

Let me put it this way. Who do the Raiders have that other teams would trade picks for?

Not saying he isn't skilled. He is.pfish57 wrote: Sun Nov 02, 2025 4:55 pm If the powers to be think he will be a top 3 pick which he will be he will say fck you Bama and become eligible for the draft...dude has been in the Bama system since Saban was there...he is Legit!
My concern is is starting resume isn't that extensive. The Parcells methodology isn't as relevant as it was a number of years ago but it does one thing well: weed out one-year wonders. Not saying he is that, but we have to consider that as a possibility.

No doubt it is a shit show, we let Good players walk so we can save a few mil and replace them with the likes of Roberts lol yea we have a lot of cap space that is f[raiders_icon]cking doing us no good if we don't use it & it shows, meanwhile most of our D that was good is feasting on other teams!Willmark wrote: Sun Nov 02, 2025 4:51 pm As an organization we don't have the luxury of time to develop a QB. That depends on the context of the question.Dr Death wrote: Sun Nov 02, 2025 4:54 pm There is no QB in this next draft that can start day one...IMO.
Is there a QB in the draft that could start day one for a legitimate NFL team? - Maybe
Is there a QB in the draft that would be better on day one 2026 than the options we have now? - For sure.
Is there a QB in the draft that could start day one behind this OL? No chance.

Agree with all these points except the last. I'm not entirely sure the OL is this bad. IMO it boils down to Geno and scheme and maybe a (bonus 3rd one) Miller being out.srv5490 wrote: Sun Nov 02, 2025 5:03 pm That depends on the context of the question.
