2 years in a row with brutal coaching in the wildcard round.

LaFluer inherited a good team and has nothing to show for it. Bears on the other hind are in the rise and pulled out an ugly win but great comeback. I have to admit I was impressed with the adjustments DA made for the second half.

Ben Johnson has them beliving.

Not disagreeing with you but I’m reminded before Mahomes Andy Reid was becoming unpopular in KC being described as a post season poor coach

I understand looking at the unknowns. I like Kubiak and Webb too. But I think Lafleur should be considered if available. I've seen a lot of people on this board question Jordan Love as a top qb. If you think Love is only a decent qb then you can't really blame Lafleur for maxing out as a early round playoff team.

By who? He coached in 21 postseason games prior to Mahomes and had a winning record (11-10). If you're referring to why he wore out his time in Philly, it was mostly bc of his time management and in game decisions, esp toward the latter part of his career there. Although losing his son significantly played into that. I'm local to Philly so I know all about Andy.

Various Chief fan forums......they had threads arguing amongst themselves about firing him...........before Mahomes was drafted.

Again that is not my contention but your post reminded me of those days

Ill bump this question to everybody:

Honest question: Any coaching candidates with zero lowlights in their career?

I suspect the answer is no.

If that is the case, every candidate has flaws or you hire someone with no HC history or experience

Oh I agree. But some are more glaring and more consistent than others. I just don't think any retread is right for this team but def not a retread with recent, glaring red flags.

Say Shula gets it and Schedlhassee doesn’t land a job…promote him to OC

At this point depending on interviews maybe the Davis Webb guy to OC. I’d prefer to go offensive coach though to keep him with Mendo if it works out
