Game Day Thread, Saints Host the Raiders
Raiders +3
Over Under 43.5
Great venue, passionate fans. Love watching us play there because of the vibe. Gonna wrap some chicken strips in bacon and add some BBQ sauce and enjoy the game. Kickoff is at 3:25 local time.
This one sets up a big matchup next week, so let's take care of business today.
The remaining question is, will Bowers suit up and play? Time will tell.

I think you mean Mendoza?Steve007 wrote: Sun Sep 27, 2026 4:52 pm I’m glad Kirk Cousins can learn watching this team instead of watching a team that wins less than 6 games.

Contact powskiI worried the failed 2 pointers might haunt. But Kubiak has been great overall and I like that his occasional mistakes are aggressive ones.
That final sack came from Kolton's guy and Kirk seemed surprised to even have pressure from that direction.

And a QB with 26 comeback wins under his belt.mranquales wrote: Sun Sep 27, 2026 4:49 pm I can admit it. I had full expectation on the Raiders beating the Saints and even stated as much multiple times. But when that mistake during kickoff happened, usually that Laube fumble meant the end for the Raiders. We've been so used to it over the years. It caught me in a brief moment of emo, but I'm glad to see that Kubiak has the Raiders playing as a truly competitive team that fights until the end.

And props to Rob Leonard as well. He’s a diamond in the rough for sure.

If I’ve got a concern, it’s Jeanty. Not a concern overall for the team due to the Washington pickup. Just a bit of concern that he looks just a smidge too light in the pants sometimes, and that’s with the dude pretty much having maxed out that frame. He’s also not terribly sudden or quick, but if he lightens load to get quicker, he’ll only get popped harder. So I don’t know. Just a tiny concern in an otherwise excellent 3 weeks of football.

Because those teams are not as good as the Saints, and the rest of our guys could handle their biz.
As we play more serious teams we need our best players, and today showed we belong as one of those when we're at full strength.

I was calling for Mendoza to run some of those goal line packages. His mobility could be huge in the red zone. Cousins is playing well but he's a statue.

I am pretty sure Jeanty is not 100%, might be a good idea for them to let him recover a week, Washington can cover.

Can’t believe that. I was 99.99% sure he wouldn’t be starting. Dead wrong. Just more proof Brock is one of those examples of a Greek God having a tryst with a mortal woman.
