Predict the 2026 record - your realistic expectations

With Mendoza needing time to adjust, an unproven O line and what I consider average receivers, I’m not really expecting to light it up on offense.

Defensively, we should be at least middle of the pack. That should go a long ways in helping stack wins.

Having said that, we are improved across the board yet still more work to do. I would predict we have 6 wins this year, double what we had last year. If Pete can manage 3 last year, I have faith with a better coaching staff we can do better. If we can beat the teams we’re supposed to plus staying close in the 4th quarter against better talent, we have a punchers chance in some of those.

Personally, at least another year or two to make some real noise if we nail FA and the draft.

I just want this team to play intelligent and be competitive throughout the entire game, in every game of the season. This new staff is able to accomplish this I will be satisfied and know the direction Raiders are heading in is the correct one.

Maybe 5-8 wins this year. But being competitive for 60 minutes to the final whistle of every game is what I want to see and the start to being well coached competitive team every year from now on.

Of course my ever hopeful side hopes to see a 10 win season and potential play off possibility

I say after if the team is basically in good health during the season...we win 5 or 6 games.

6 would be double what we won last year.

But the truth is we just don't know how good or bad the team is until the first real game against Miami.

Winning the week on the interweb at 7 am on a Monday is akin to the Raiders winning the offeason in our prior seasons (or this season). Time will tell, just as it has told for the Raiders for a whole lot of years now.

We must have spent a lot in the last few days because we only have around 4.5 million in cap space left, 3rd least amount. Im not sure where the other 10 million went, we were at like 14 after Mendoza finally signed, so im not sure what else we spent on.

While I don't anticipate a particularly impressive win total this season, my primary hope is simply to avoid any “Mount Rushmore” games. By that, I mean performances so thoroughly atrocious that they remain etched in your brain for years. Last season featured a couple Mount Rushmore atrocities;

Week 7 vs. Chiefs - 95 total yards and 3 first downs. Lost 31-0
Week 14 vs. Eagles - 75 total yards. Lost 31-0

I can handle losses, I despise the ones that are as bad as any in franchise history. No Mount Rushmore games in 2026, please. That's all I ask.
