I believe this Raiders team would beat any college FB team. I also believe we'll never be able to confirm that.

It was a thing back in the day. But once the talent gap became evident it ceased to exist. But yea, there may be one team in the last 5 decades that might have had a chance against the worst team of the last 5 decades but it would have only been a chance and not even a great chance. 2019's LSU is often considered the best college team in the modern era. They might have been able to beat the 76 Bucs, certainly they would have scored some point but don't know that they could have beaten them. I would think they could have but it would also be a "different era" thing. Maybe we select the 08 Lions? But that team had Darnell Bing in his prime so I am not confident.

Didn't there used to be a game: college all stars vs a pro team?

College All Stars vs Pro All Stars

But it was a real game, highly competitive. Discontinued because the pros started pounding the college guys.

I can see it being more competitive back when players stayed 4 years in school, gave them a chance to mature and grow, both mentally and more importantly physically.

Now you would have 19 and 20 year olds against men.

It was a different era. College and pro football both pretty much just ran the ball. College players stayed in school on scholarship. The best college players did not move onto the pros like now. The pro players were not making enough to do just football and pretty much all of them had either side hustles or full time off season jobs. So a lot of guys just quit and went into business. Football was no where near as popular as baseball. So it was closer in talent. But as guys started getting paid better, the talent at the next level started to separate and the games were becoming just becoming a joke. Hell, the last such game was in the mid 70s and the pro's were not sending out all star teams but just a pro team. I remember the Steelers being one of them and they beat the shit out of the college all stars.

I read a line in an article the other day and only remember that one line. It said that Moore has higher ceiling than Mendoza. Therefore, that's what I'm basing my learned opinion on.

We need to get Moore.

The Moore vs Mendoza debate will continue on but we still have some significant college games to play and the next one is actually Moore vs Mendoza. They also played during the regular season and it really turned out to be a push for which one is better. Mendoza won but he also threw an ugly pick. Moore had two. Last week, Mendoza won the weekend with the better performance vs Alabama. Moore did not look as good vs TTU. Mendoza's build is better suited for the NFL. Moore is probably a bit more athletic. But I have been on Mendoza and will continue to bang that drum until he proves me wrong.

Moore is a 20 year old sophomore. Do we want to wait 3-5 years for him to get experience and fully develop?

We need results sooner than later, Mendoza would be my choice.

100% accurate. I think you missed the sarcasm though.
