I know it’s the nfl and literally anything can happen…but Purdy and Shanahan against this d may be gross

Maybe, I am just taking this week to week. Today was a fun game to watch. We had our chances. I wish we would have gotten the W but every week save the last this team is playing competitive football. Considering what we have been watching for a long time this is a welcome improvement. At some point they need to break through and start winning these games but in the meantime Sunday's have been fun again.

Maybe sometime down the road but, at this point a running game has little to do with any offensive successes. This isn't the Seattle of last year with a power running game and a defense that could cover mistakes. He may need to tweak and adapt to our shortcomings all the while emphasizing what we do best at this point.

He is also leading the AFC in TD passes and only Brock Purdy has more.

Right on regarding Koonce. He is hardly ever going to beat a quality tackle. He has average speed and below strength. I watched him drop back and backpedal into coverage and it was bad.

Cousins is over producing. I wonder how long there will be calls to bench him and let Mendoza learn on the run. Some people don’t want to look at reality and set aside their biases.

I don't think it's time to bench Cousins but, given that we don't use Cousins on sneaks, that is a perfect opportunity to get Mendoza some real snaps. He'd be good on a sneak, and is also capable of passing it so it keeps a defense more honest in short yardage.

If we keep losing, Mendoza should play the last 4-6 games.

Oh, and screen passes. They work when your guards are like a revolving door.

Linderbaum had his best game of the year. He looked all- pro. With some good guards and some top new blood at tackle — well that is off in the distance.

One more thing - that was one of the worst home crowds I’ve ever heard in the NFL. It’s sound alike. They were maybe 20,000 Raiders fans there.

We are the highest scoring team in our division 162
We are the hightest team giving up points in out division 162

If the D could hold teams to 24 or less we would be playoff bound.

Only Buffalo has scored more points than the Raiders in the whole league not withstanding San fran who plays tomorrow currently with 154 points.

This is not a nitpick of the offense, but this was one of those games where if we had MHJ we would have won. Defenses can put their best corner on Bowers, and sort of contain him at times. With MHJ defenses wouldn't be able to, and Bowers would feast on the safety/lb/nickle.

Much closer than I thought it would be. Turned out to be a winnable game sans the pick and the false start on Linder-bum on the 4th and 1.

I urge you to stop beating that drum otherwise it will probably be another one of your efforts to start and extend arguments.
