Just tap thier avatar
Tap the 3 lines
Tap Foe
And you dont see any of thier nonsense.
With prices only going up and Mayer set to take a larger role for the foreseeable future the Raiders are playing it smart for a change.
If he plays well over the next 6 weeks he may want to test the waters of f/a next season. Now he's locked up.

I'm not too worried about his knee. We don't have Ringling Bros. as a coaching staff anymore. This staff will play him when he's ready.Hellbound wrote: Sat Sep 12, 2026 9:59 am Bowers needs to stay on the field and prove his rookie year wasn't a fluke before he worries about an extension. So far he's proven that he's injury prone and has nagging injuries going back to his college days. The talent is there, is the availability?

still on his rookie deal, so it is not an issue at this timeerickench wrote: Sat Sep 12, 2026 3:13 pm Unbelievable! Not that he isn't a good player but they already have Bowers on the roster. I guess he'll be getting a big contract too.

Oh man, I haven't heard that name in I don't know how long. It's an insult to Ringling Bros though. Their clowns were a lot more entertaining and the ringleader had a way better haircut than ours.Oaktownonly wrote: Sat Sep 12, 2026 3:04 pm I'm not too worried about his knee. as long as the cap is not in jeopardy, who really cares. If it keeps us from signing a guy, ok, make a case, if not, let it ride.pfish57 wrote: Sat Sep 12, 2026 3:42 pm I have zero problems with locking up Mayer! If people want to bitch about $$$ look no further than Koonce lol

I'm sure Chaisson could have been been convinced to stay for 12 mil & 11 mil this year and actually added some productivity to the D but instead it's been a waste of money that could of added a productive player.Attyla wrote: Sat Sep 12, 2026 4:06 pm as long as the cap is not in jeopardy, who really cares. But did other deals keep us from keeping Chaisson? I tend to doubt it, it was just bad businesspfish57 wrote: Sat Sep 12, 2026 4:18 pm I'm sure Chaisson could have been been convinced to stay for 12 mil & 11 mil this year and actually added some productivity to the D but instead it's been a waste of money that could of added a productive player.

Kubiak just spent the offseason installing his scheme with Mayer as a factor.
He's going to play in the scheme all season.
Letting him walk means starting over at TE2 next year with the work done this year wasted.
Now hes locked into the scheme for 4 years. This year and 3 added.

I half expect a statement next week that Bowers is not responding to treatment and being placed on IR eligible to return later in the season.
