I really don’t think the raiders are going to do anything this year and maybe getting 6 wins would be a plus and going the right way…
Signing him would just be a continuation of what this franchise has always done. If this is a rebuild (it is), do it the right way. They already tried to do so with the trading of a valued vet for PREMIUM draft capital

There have been several older guys like this available and they don't seem to want to go that route for a change.
Maybe they have reached out and they were not interested. Why would a vet want to come to a total rebuild unless nobody else wanted him?

I wonder if they'll bring Cam Miller back as qb3

Maybe because I don’t play Fantasy Football (maybe not) but I have never heard of anybody waived so far and likely won’t know 90+ percent of those waived. I am forced to leave it up to the Raiders coaching and scouting staff to figure out the right guys to cut and who to sign. In the old days of cut downs happening over weeks I would know guys being released at the end of the cycle. Now it is almost always “who?”

In any case, I think the final Raiders roster will look very unlike their roster of just a couple of years ago. A purge was obviously needed.

CBS Sports has ranked the league’s wide receiver rooms. Raiders are ranked 31st of 32 teams. They say:

31. Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders are lucky the Dolphins exist. The top options in this room are Tre Tucker and Jalen Nailor, along with potentially Jack Bech and rookie Malik Benson. It's not an inspiring group.

I'm surprised we haven't done any trades yet, I expected more roster churn. Other teams are making lots of moves already.

I think it's less imperative for the team that has the top spot in the waiver claim priority to make trades. Just wait and see who gets released and make a claim ...... or several. Trading for a player might be just trading for a guy who would have ended up getting released who you could have had without giving up a draft pick.

Maybe because we have first pick on waivers we have not seen anyone we need to give up a pick for? Just guessing

Yep and it could be said that is why teams below us cough up a pick because a player they are after may not make it through the wire...

I thought Slone would make the team, Ive only heard good things about him from the usual Raiders commentators.
