Unread post by Be_Easy_25 »

Should we pursue him?
What’s his trade value?

Yes please as long as the compensation is reasonable. This teams need a quality dt the VV is. I like these type of trade discussions better than those for a WR or whatever. I dont see this as the Raiders jumping the gun on rebuilding the roster if they do this, this would fill a need at a critical position.

Asking aint getting. What is the term left on his current contract?

I could see the niners snagging him, they have the most cap space and he would be close to home.

Any cap relief from the Wilkins case would be nice, but of course they keep pushing that ruling back.

1 year, no guarantied and 17 mil.

But it tells you a lot about not only giving up compensation to get him, but he's asking way too much imo for 31.
He's asking for what a top 27/28 year old would be asking for.
This has that sucker deal written on it, enough to be concerning to me.

Give them a 4th and 5th rounder. I’d like to see a good defense again, it’s been awhile. I see no reason Vita couldn’t give us 3 more productive years plus no history of teabagging teammates.

There appears to be something going on in Tampa. Its possible they feel they have maxed out the current team and dont want any big extensions and may be looking at a rebuild.

You could be right but why wait til now though? They should of traded Vita before the draft.

Before everyone start saying Vea too old; Cam Heywood is 37 and he still the Steelers NT….think Vea still got a few years left in him…..

Good NT are hard to find in the NFL

Its possible they thought they could get deals worked out with the players, Baker Mayfield also called off his talks today or yesterday and will become a free agent after this year.

Rumor....

3-4 year 25 mil, with a lot of guarantees and signing bonus, aka the big contract you sign in your mid to late 20's when you've proven to be a stud, but not quite Jalen Carter.

It can happen like that, but it usually doesn't.

They'll do what they do, if somehow the Raiders bagged him, then lets go....
