World Cup 2026
Yep, what the rest of the world calls football.
US? We have to win group D. If we don’t we’re likely facing Brazil in the next round assuming we’re the second qualifying team in the group stage.
We SHOULD beat Paraguay and Australia, Turkey is a much tougher match.

England has some complaint or another about the game with Argentina. Anybody know what it is?

Win the middle of the field, you win the game. Spain did just that in the first half

I decided to catch a little of the final. It is flop city out there.
Plus every time a guy falls down he stays down for 5 seconds or so, I guess in the hopes of drawing a foul call.
PS and the refs have way too much power to influence the game by using the red card. That removes a player from one team, making it 11 vs 10

Soccer is so freaking boring.
It was fun to host the World Cup but I won’t change my non soccer watching habits.

Agree with you on that. The best part was Americans interacting with the fervent fans from all over the world. It was fun to share their traditions (eat your heart out PJ Fleck and Gophers--the Norwegians can really row a boat), and seeing the streets of the host cities filled with enthusiastic fans was cool. I'm sure the soccer fans also enjoyed the games.RaiderandBulldog wrote: Sun Jul 19, 2026 11:45 pm Soccer is so freaking boring.
