Time to squabble and rabble-rouse.
Drop your depth chart know-how here. Especially those who know WAY more than the Raiders own FO and sideline.

This is good. When Pete Carroll was younger and bolder (and not employing his sons) he and GM John Schneider turned the Seahawks roster over and over. The Raiders have needed a good dump for a long time. We have had a weak roster since maybe 2004.

Raiders Sign DL Benito Jones
The Las Vegas Raiders announced Wednesday that they’ve signed veteran DL Benito Jones to a contract.
The Raiders waived DT Brodric Martin with an injury designation to make room for Jones.
Jones previously met with the Giants last month, but left without a deal.
Jones, 28, wound up going undrafted out of Mississippi back in 2020. He later signed a three-year, $2.25 million contract with the Dolphins, but was waived coming out of training camp.
Miami re-signed Jones to their practice squad and he bounced on and off of their roster for a few seasons. The Lions claimed him off of waivers from the Dolphins coming out of the preseason in 2022.
Benito re-signed with Detroit to a one-year deal for the 2023 season and he returned to Miami on a one-year contract in 2024 and 2025.
In 2025, Jones appeared in all 17 games for the Dolphins and recorded 24 tackles and four tackles for loss.

Probably fairly close to the 53. I think there’s maybe 6 question-marks listed there that could change and not just necessarily like for like.

^Thornton Jr doesn't have many skills to offer. Almost zero. He cant block so hes off the field on run downs. Thats 50% of the snaps.
He ran a lazy limited route tree last year, had drops and can not break man coverage. He gets bullied at the los.
You have one chance to make a good impression and hes already wearing the red cap injured missing practices.
I can see all world where he doesn't make the final 53.
6th round rookie Malik Benson ran a 4.37 and can take the top off as easily as DTj and unfortunately for him, it's the only trick in his bag.
Benson excels at the Go-Route, deep Posts and Corners plus stop and Comeback Routes.
Thornton? A red cap Cricket...

Jach Bech im excited about.
One, hes our best run blocking WR and from the look he came into camp ripped. Notes: there's not much to beat out in the Raiders WR blocking room but still its there.
Bech is not and I repeat NOT stretching any field.
What he does well is working the middle and it's considered the absolute strength of his game.
He has elite Zone Awareness. Bech is a natural "zone-beater." He possesses an excellent feel for navigating through defensive coverage over the middle and finds the soft spots.
He plays a physical "Power Slot", and rarely drops the football.
In 21 personal there's 2 WRs on the field and Thornton will not be one of them.
ESPECIALLY on run downs.
Bech and Tre? Bech and Nailor? Bech and Benson? Yea.
I think Kubiak will use Bech in the play action pass. At what rate is anyone's guess but it will be part of the playbook. Count on it.
Oh im going block the saftey? No im peeling off over here.

By chance, CBS just ran a story titled: "Picking one under-the-radar breakout star candidate for each AFC team entering 2026." And they pick Bech for the Raiders and he is featured in the big picture at the top of the story. I will paste in their take on Bech:
It's been a transformative offseason for the Raiders. They have a new coach in Klint Kubiak, drafted Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza first overall, and spent big along the offensive line, including center Tyler Linderbaum. While the club did add Jalen Nailor, there wasn't much else done to the receiver room, which leaves plenty of room for Jack Bech to have a full-fledged breakout. The 2025 second-round pick had a relatively subdued rookie season, catching 20 of his 29 targets for 224 yards. With better quarterback play expected with Mendoza and/or Kirk Cousins under center, along with playing in a better offense spearheaded by Kubiak, Bech has an opportunity to be the go-to receiver option for Las Vegas. Of course, we've seen Kubiak help turn Jaxon Smith-Njigba into an Offensive Player of the Year, so he's had a knack for developing talented receivers. Hitting those heights is unlikely for Bech as he'll play second fiddle to tight end Brock Bowers and maybe even running back Ashton Jeanty for target share, but the stage is set for a breakout.

We've dumped the roster many times, nothing new here.RunOverByHubbard wrote: Mon May 11, 2026 7:13 pm This is good. And we've been optimistic that is was finally done at least a 1/2 dozen times along the way.
Let's hope this is the right group of everything.
