Yup...Unless things change dramatically before the draft, Mendoza will most likely be the 1st pick, and hopefully he will be ours...and if we end up with the 2nd pick, Moore, assuming he declares.BoKnows81 wrote: Mon Dec 29, 2025 8:36 am I dont have an issue with Moore himself. I dont trust (as currently constructed) this team to get the most out of an upside guy like Moore. Mendoza is the safer option at this time. If I see some positive changes, I would not be upset with Moore BUT only if we lose out on the #1 pick. Mendoza is my guy. Just my opinion. Either way, they know they have to draft a QB.

Another thing that can’t be overlooked with Mendoza is his knack for coming through when needed. His numbers aren’t gaudy as far as yards or TDs but when it was needed he can through. Against Penn state down 24-20 with under 2 minutes to go he lead a 10 play 80 yard TD drive to go ahead.
Everyone saw the drive to close out against Ohio St.
He just seems to have the it factor even when he isn’t playing extremely well but he needs to make it happen he seems to do that.

Fernando is the pick for me... his maturity, leadership and accuracy are all things this franchise needs to even have a chance at turning this organization around. And imo his best quality is that he is a football nerd, that kind of work ethic will have a positive effect on the entire football team. I think having the ability to get a Qb of his caliber will be the greatest assest in attracting a good young offensive mind at the Head Coach position and a quality OC. I also wouldn't mind Moore if we have the second pick but I think a bridge Qb would be a must if we were to draft him.

Mendoza obviously.
You don't draft a project QB (Moore) at 1-1.
If you're going to draft a project @ QB, you can either get Drew Allar, who's more decorated, or Tylen Green, who's has more potential.

He is not a project, he needs more experience but he is not a project. A project is Allar or Green.mranquales wrote: Mon Dec 29, 2025 12:16 pm Mendoza obviously.

Moore is 3rd in the country in QBR. Hes not a project. Again I still prefer Mendoza but some of you are underselling Moore. Of course if Moore plays lights out and the Ducks win the championship I expect a lot of flip floppers

I'm sure he likes his intelligence as well. Before enrolling at Cal, Fernando was set to attend Yale, so the intelligence displayed on the field isn't just a football thing, guy is smart as hell, he's 6'5 225, is mobile (more rushing yards than Moore), and just won the Heisman, the kid can play.
Also, he was born in Boston and Tom Brady is his idol. He's also devout catholic and obsessed with achieving greatness in football to honor his family. This is not a guy who will have problems in Las Vegas.
This has got to be the easiest decision this org has ever made. Go ahead and turn in that draft card now Spytek.

Well history points to the QB with more Starts at the college level having a higher percentage of success in the NFL. Mendoza is the clear choice. The only other scenario I see is if we fleece the NYJs and then take the remaining best QB at 3.

Assuming we end up with the first pick (aka losing to the Chiefs) this is the easiest pick ever. As in a no-brainer. The Raiders should be running to the podium on draft day.
That said?
I'm expecting the Raiders to Raider and somehow mess this up.

He's so tall he looks down at the field.Corleone wrote: Mon Dec 29, 2025 1:27 pm I'm sure he likes his intelligence as well.
