You have to tip toe though. Im not sure Jeanty has been on an injury report all year so sitting him would draw investigation. Bowers was an easy IR with his knee issue this year.

I guess I don't get the whole "drawing the NFL's ire" thing if you sit players.... especially when it is meaningless to play them. Why risk injury of a multi million $$$ player for nothing when you need him for the next season? To me, this is just strategic moves to insure the health of your players. I'm not sure how the NFL can justify penalties on a team for protecting it's valued player/s from unnecessary injury in a useless game. Like was stated elsewhere.... isn't this what playoff teams do when the game means nothing to them?

I dont know why they dont play the starters sometimes at the end and rest them at the beginning. It seems like a fresh set of legs against a tired defense would be great.
