The cast is new but the scripts remain the same.

Our issue is year 1 for all these guys has just been so utterly awful it’s hard to find much positive to cling to and feel good about moving forward.
And with us it’s funny because it’s not always the same methodology that leads to this. I mean McDaniels effectively brought back everyone and then went big in the offseason and it flopped. AP tried doing the same thing… and it flopped. Pete more or less cleaned house… and it flopped.

This is a very unconventional situation. I think the biggest factor that is causing all of the angst is Coach Pete's age.
If he were younger most would encourage patience as this team needs a major rebuild and have more faith in the head coach. I am in the minority here I am sure but Pete's age doesn't concern me so much provided there is a succession plan that provides continuity with what PC is trying to do.
I think he is a good coach with a proven track record. I also think he can right the ship. Cutting Chip Kelly loose was a step in the right direction. Now we need a QB.

To keep a coach with a team that looks this bad you need something. You need improvement from beginning of year to end of year. You need to see some light. This team is the absence of all light. Back half of the season and blown out by one of the other toilet teams. Nothing has improved and things have gotten worse.

They played their asses off under AP. That’s 1/2 the battle.
If you keep AP, grab Kingsbury as OC, then let Telesco take Membou/Dart then we are in a different situation aren’t we?…have I told you today that I despise Mark/Brady?

They did and I bought into that myself. The inertia was short lived and AP was committing too many game management mistakes and was being out coached every week.Sloth_Fratelli wrote: Tue Nov 25, 2025 4:39 am They played their asses off under AP. That’s 1/2 the battle.

I watch most Redskins games and Kingsbury is getting his ass kicked. They had had a ton of injuries this season but even when Jayden Daniels was healthy the offense was struggling.

Playing hard for a stupid coach still means the coach is stupid

I was fine with letting AP go, but the expectation was that the replacement coach would be better. It's really disappointing that the team looks worse under Carroll. At this stage of Raiders fandom it feels pretty hopeless as the team seems to get worse with each hire. It just seems like the organization is on a crash course to an eventual 0-17 season which is coming regardless of who's the GM, HC, or QB. Everyone this organization hires from management, coaching, players all perform worse at their jobs. Like what in the hell is going on in team facilities?

I think the Skins are also the oldest team in the league so a bounce back is far from a sure thing.ToastPatterson wrote: Tue Nov 25, 2025 4:53 am They did and I bought into that myself. AP was a horrible hc, Kingsbury turned us down. With AP as hc too. Half of your scenario is already debunkedSloth_Fratelli wrote: Tue Nov 25, 2025 4:39 am They played their asses off under AP. That’s 1/2 the battle.

Pierce was so bad that once he was fired the only job he could get was a consult job with some media thing run out of some kid's mom's basementHellbound wrote: Tue Nov 25, 2025 7:24 am AP was a horrible hc, Kingsbury turned us down. With AP as hc too. Half of your scenario is already debunked

Yep. An offseason of film wrecked Daniels and therefore Kingsbury's offense. The test for a QB who's had a great rookie year is to be able to duplicate it in the second and third. If a QB is going to have long term success he has to be able to overcome adjustments not just game in and out, but year in and year out.ToastPatterson wrote: Tue Nov 25, 2025 4:53 am They did and I bought into that myself.
