Raiders Song Parodies

Raiders Rhapsody
(Parody lyrics by Willmark, with apologies to Queen)

Is this the real Raiders? Is this just football fantasy?
Caught in another blowout, no escape from mediocrity
Open your eyes, look up to Ghost to the Post and see,
I'm just a poor fan, I need no more company
Because losses are easy come, easy go, visitors high, Raiders low-
Any way the Autumn Wind blows
Doesn't really matter to me… to me

Mama, just benched a man,
Put silver and black on his head - now his career is all but dead
Mama, strife had just begun,
But Carr’s gone and thrown it all away.
Mama (ooh), didn't mean to love the bye -
If I'm not watching again this game tomorrow,
Carry on, carry on... Raiders never really matters

Too late - over-time has come
Sends stomach aches down my spine, Raider pain all the time.
Goodbye, Raider Nation, this “team’s” gotta go
Gotta leave these loses behind and face the truth.
Mama, ooh (oh- Any way the Autumn Wind blows),
I don't wanna...lie
I sometimes wish I'd never been a Raiders fan at all

I see a little silhouetto of a game plan -
Latest coach, latest coach, will he last the season-oh?
Lyle Alzado - very, very frightening!
(Jim Otto) Jim Otto, (Jim Otto) Jim Otto, Otto snap the ballo
Magnifico (Oh-oh-oh-oh!)
I'm just a poor QB, nobody loves me,
He's just a poor QB from a poor franchisee,
Spare him his fandom from this monstrosity!
Loses come, wins go - will you let me go?
George Blanda! No, we will not let you go! (Let him go!)
George Blanda! We will not let you go! (Let him go!)
George Blanda! We will not let you go! (Let me go!)
Will not let you go! (Let me go!)
Never, never, never, never, never, never let me go! (Let him go!)
Oh-oh-oh-oh! No, no, no, no, no, no, no!
Oh, Madden Boom!, Madden Boom! (Madden Boom! let me go)
Al Davis has a devil put aside for me... for me... for me!

So you think you can stop my Sunday and deceive my eye?
So you think you can make me believe - then leave me to die?
Oh, Raiders! Can't do this to me, Raiders!
Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here!

Football really matters - win’s we’ll never see
Football really matters...
Football doesn’t matters, to this team.
Any way the Autumn Wind blows...

Last one:

Raider Road
(Parody lyrics by Willmark, with apologies to Bruce Springsteen)

The comeback door slams, Raiderette’s attire sways,
Like a vision, touchdowns dances light the field as the scoreboard plays.
Roy Orbison sang for the lonely -
Hey, that's us Raider fans who want wins only.
Don't turn off home games again,
I just can't face loses alone again

Don't run the ball inside,
Darkness - you know just what we’re here for.
So you're scared, and you're thinking,
That maybe we can’t ever win anymore
Show a little faith - well, no magic left in Monday night?
Mark Davis sure ain't no beauty, but hey - Hooters is alright
Oh, and that's alright with me.

You can hide 'neath your cover 2 and study your pain,
Make crossing routes your prayers, throw picks in the rain.
Waste your summer camp praying in vain,
For a quarterback to rise from these streets.
Well now, a team with zero - that's understood;
All the redemption I can offer, is beneath this silver-and- black hood.
With a chance to make it good somehow?
Hey - how else can the Raiders lose now?

Except roll down the window,
And let the apathy blow back your hair.
Well, the scoreboard bustin’ open -
These two wins won’t take us anywhere.
We got one last chance to make it real,
To trade in these players for some with wheels.
Climb in back - the playoffs waiting down on the tracks?

Oh-oh, come take my hand,
We're ridin’ out tonight, never to reach the promised land.
Oh-oh, Raider Road- oh Raider Road - oh Raider Road.
Lying out receivers like The Assassin in the sun,
Hey, I know it's late, we can make if we can stop the run.
Oh, Raider Road, sit tight, take hold -
Raider Road!

Well, I got this football, and I learned no QB of ours can make it talk,
And the gallows is out back if you're ready to take that long walk.
From your couch to my overpriced seat,
The doors open - but the tickets at the stadium sure ain’t free.
And I know you're lonely for wins - words ain't ever spoken,
But as fans we'll be free, all the promises'll be broken.

There were ghosts in the eyes of all fans the Raiders sent away,
They haunt this dusty desert stadium.
In the skeleton frames of burned-out conference games,
They scream Snake’s name at night in the street.
His #12 jersey lies in rags at their feet,
And in the lonely season before dawn.
You hear their laments roaring on.
But when you get to the torch, they're gone on the wind.
So Amy - climb in,
Vegas, it’s a town full of losers, and I'm pulling out of here to win.

You're reading way too much into it. When a parody is posted its tongue in cheek to say "apologies to..."

And trust me I get what you are saying but out of bounds for this forum.
