I will say this, and only this about Carr.
I think he would retire before being traded.
He has enough cash if what I have read is true.
He wants to be a Minister in the future (barf, but it is his choice).
And he has a young family that I cannot imagine him uprooting again.
Cardinals paid $27 mil for Hopkins last year, you never know.
That was just a 2 year deal though. Adams is going want a way longer term and more guarantees.

Carr also has an overinflated value of how good he thinks he is. So do his brothers. That won't let him walk away.....
Carr also won't retire if the Raiders don't extend him....
I do think at some point he will become a Minister. I do think Carr is a very good human being......
Adams wants 30 million a year.
I know— but the comparison to Hopkins was that hopkins was a 2 year deal. Adams will want 5 or 6 probably— but the longer the term, the lower the AAV. If he signed a two year deal he could probably get 35-40 per.

If Derek Carr is coming back. I hope Davonte Adams becomes a Raider. I know he wants $30 million but smart GM can move money around in signing bonuses. I believe Carr, Renfrow, Waller, and Crosby can take the Raiders once gain to the playoffs. I also believe the Raiders can be top 10 offense too. WE need to draft offensive linemen.

https://twitter.com/CJ_Errickson/status ... 4rJAw&s=19
Yep. That's why I rather go with Mariota and another vet like Foles at 4 million (for Ivan). You trade Carr for what you could get. It will never be 2-1's. You would be lucky to get a 1 or a 2nd & 3rd...Anyway you take Carrs $$ and use it elsewhere. Then draft a QB for the future in 22 or 2023 draft....I'm sorry but 23TD's and 19TO's and no running ability isn't hard to replace...
I'd like to take a chance on Malik Wills...

Theres 2 problems IMO. The first is he’s not walking. If anything it’s a tag and trade situation for GB and they’ll have tons of suitors - I’d imagine it’s at least a 1st and a 2nd if not 2 1sts and then some. The 2nd is that he’s 29 years old. He’s elite right now … he may be worth his asking price for maybe 2 more years.
How much are we willing to give up for a 29 year old receiver?

https://twitter.com/CJ_Errickson/status ... 4rJAw&s=19
Mariota got benched by a playoff team, then was released, then signed by a non-playoff team, had to take a pay cut to stay on said team, and hasn't done anything to merit making him a starting QB for the Raiders.
I like to win. Carr wins more than Mariota.

Sure.
Mariota beat Kansas City in the playoffs. IN Kansas City. You think Titan's fans aren't regretting that decision? This isn't about Mariota anyway, it's about a stop gap while we replace our quarterback. Because you can put the '85 Bears around Derek Carr, and it's not going to make his liabilities as a player go away.
