Its like when Reid had Alex Smith and now SF with Garoppolo. SF got lucky he wasn't picked off a few times vs Green Bay. One or two of them would have been returned for TD's...
You will never be able to surround Carr with enough talent especially if he gets a big extension....

Finally like it or not Mahomes & Herbert are young & great. You have to find a QB like them somehow.... (I know fill in all the why you cants ) I'd go after Deshaun Watson even if its in 2023. Or at the least consider it...

Just don't extend Carr. With a new HC, OC, playcaller we should want to see how the fit is before locking in. And Carr, if he wants to win like he says he does, should want the same. Let the two sides "date" for a year before getting married. That's good for everyone.
