College Football Thread - 2026
It’s that time of year for us to dog fight about who’s college team is better.
Best way to start it out IMO is with the preseason coaches poll that just dropped:
Preseason Coaches Poll
1.Ohio State
2.Oregon
3.Georgia
4.Texas
5.Notre Dame
6.Indiana
7.Miami
8.Texas A&M
9.Oklahoma
10.Ole Miss
11.Alabama
12.Texas Tech
13.LSU
14.USC
15.BYU
16.Michigan
17.Penn State
18.Tennessee
19.Washington
20.SMU
21.Utah
22.Iowa
23.Clemson
24.Houston
25.Missouri
We all know who are backing after that last few years but the 2026 season is almost upon us.
For my own part, this year is special I’m attending my first home game ever at ND on 9/12.

I wonder in this new age of CFB parity if it is going to make it harder for QB's to excel and will NFL teams be better off measuring because of it? QB is great in college with a loaded team < QB did great against more equal competition.FLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Sat Oct 17, 2026 3:28 pm Every single year. I would think it would be easier to judge them. Just a few independent schools play 2 games and 8 patsys. A lot more good games to judge them bySkullCrusher wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2026 9:31 am I wonder in this new age of CFB parity if it is going to make it harder for QB's to excel and will NFL teams be better off measuring because of it? Yeah, I don't know.FLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2026 12:43 pm I would think it would be easier to judge them. Just a few independent schools play 2 games and 8 patsys. A lot more good games to judge them by
QB has the most scrutiny out any position in football, maybe in all of sports too.
Its not from lack of analyzing these guys that they fail. Its that were dealing with human beings. And human beings have all sorts of factors besides measureables. More spot light on them doesn't change that IMO.
