My old aunt Bertha has better sources than Hondo. At least she claims to be psychic.BoKnows81 wrote: Sat Jan 10, 2026 7:03 am https://www.raidersbeat.com/raiders-int ... henomenal/

I agree. Neved said I believed it. Just that I heard lol. Regardless, I still think Webb is an interesting, outside the box candidate.Marzan wrote: Sat Jan 10, 2026 7:14 am My old aunt Bertha has better sources than Hondo. At least she claims to be psychic.

My top two of those with confirmed interviews are Kubiak and Webb. I was watching something with Brady and Manning the other day and both talking about how qbs these days arentvas good due to diffeeent systems and coaches etc. Id like a young head coach who can work with Mendoza for many years

I want an offensive hc especially with Mendoza seemingly being the 1st pick. There's a couple of retreads that I wouldn't mind as hc but I really want to take a swing. Be it Kubiak or Webb or whoever, just take the swing. Im not hung up at all on the whole timeline thing as far as he never called plays or coordinated. If you can coach, you can coach. Webb was passing game coordinator so that helps. Also just because the media wasn't aware and hyping him up doesn't mean he is an unknown throughout the league. Some of the current hc that have been hired have only been oc's for one year so it's not like they had a ton of experience themselvesBoKnows81 wrote: Sat Jan 10, 2026 6:17 am I'm starting to warm up on Davis Webb. I'm hearing the interview was phenomenal. Young up n comer with a brand new QB and some foundational pieces. Idk, sounds like a risk worth taking.

That's where I'm at. Some guys are just natural leaders of men and bring the X & O knowledge with them. While i think it may be a stretch to say he could be the next McVay, it's not out of the realm that he won't be either. Point being, what we've been doing hasn't been working. Give me the young offensive up & comer over the retread, at least for this team.Hellbound wrote: Sat Jan 10, 2026 8:19 am I want an offensive hc especially with Mendoza seemingly being the 1st pick. We just had an 80 yr old that assembled a shit staff. Webb won't do any worseBe_Easy_25 wrote: Sat Jan 10, 2026 7:05 am Can Webb assemble a staff?
At this point, is there some competent DC willing to spend 2-3 years with Webb as his boss?

Should they take a shot at Mendoza's OC, Mike Shanahan, as OC or assisted OC?

Sounds like Webb at some point will be a HC in the league with the passion and how driven he sounds from everyone that speaks about him. Like others have said, what we've been doing hasn't worked. Would we be inclined to give a first time up and coming HC more than one season with his rookie QB? I think he might be given more of a chance.
