Game Day Thread: Raiders try to rebound vs. the sinking Rams

Will Stafford regain his footing or will the Raiders bring enough heat on him to cause the Rams to fall further behind in the NFC West? It’s a good test for the Raiders to see if we can take it to a team more injured than we are.
I think we will and we will get close to 100 rushing yards. Raiders 27, Rams 23.

Both sides of the ball came out flat and pukey the entire first half. This game wasn’t close despite the tiny bit of action in the 4th
Yeah it was garage time for sure at halftime.

Kubiak kind of sucks in my opinion.
i disagree, has done what he could on offense with a limited team on talent (guards/wrs)
imagine if this team had a wr1,wr2 and 2 good guards...

Kubiak will save our franchise. Sign him for 10 years.
Looks like we'll be seeing Mendoza sooner than later.
Pickup Charlie Becker next year, then continue to build the trenches on both sides.

Yeah, I like Coach K. Cousins is having his best year in a while, Darnold is back to shitty Darnold, and he got us 3 wins (so far) as a rookie HC with a franchise bereft of talent that’s been bottom-of-the-barrell for a decade.
Tucker is an excellent #2 or #3, just a shame he’s so short. Jeanty ain’t worth that #6, but I’m not 100% certain he’s a complete dud. Not with us being completely f[raiders_icon]cked at Guard.

"bereft of talent" that sums it up very well GTC!!

My expectations are now fully tempered with the ceiling of the team this year. I. believe at this point Mendoza should play. No point in wasting development in our franchise qb for a 6 win team

We absolutely need better guard play. I'm still hoping for something from Rogers and Zuhn, but we'll see how it plays out. I'm not freaking out over losses simply because I said all along that 2026 wasn't our year to compete (even when we were 3-0). I like that the team didn't just roll over after the dismal first half, but wow the tackling was putrid in the first half. We survived in the first few games by getting turnovers, and we just don't have a good enough team if we aren't winning that battle - when it's still a game.

I dont dislike Kirk Cousins at all but I just think hes blown his wad and now teams know exactly how to play us. His inability to move really limits this offense which is why I think its finally time to give Mendo his shot. I truly beiieve Mendo can make the same throws but also has the ability to get 2-4 first downs a game with his legs which will help our running game and WRs even more. Today the game was all but over at halftime, what a perfect non pressure time to give the kid a shot.
Remember our 3 wins came against teams that have a combined record of 3-19 as of today.

The tackling was just as shitty last week. They give up huge chunks of turf because of missed tackles.

What is frustrating is New England was playing like shit until they played us. Same for the Rams. Tired of this team hosting every's coming out party.
New England beat Buffalo the week before we played them.

I’m not confident Tom Brady in his prime would make the playoffs with this team. Did Brady ever play in a situation this difficult for a qb? It’s not like Brady had the scrambling ability to play behind an oline this bad.
