When you are down 10 points, you don't run the football. Fuggn football 101 stuff.
Carr had a 70 passer rating (he put an absolute turd of a performance in the books), when we left it up to him to win. 80 or better passer rating (Still terrible) and we win that football game - end of story.
So yes - it is Carr. If we gave the ball to Jacobs 54 times and lost you could blame Jacobs. Hell you could even blame Olsen then because you pass alot when down by multiple scores - and run plays should not have been called.
Carr also had 16 turnovers in our final 11 games. Another late season collapse. Again - on Carr.
You should learn more about football before calling others dumb.
"RUN MORE DOWN BY 10" - ridiculous.
We were down 10 with 10:23 left in the 2nd quarter.
Are you suggesting we should've abandoned the run at that point?

Are you suggesting we should've abandoned the run at that point?
We did not abandon the run until the second half, as the score called for it. Again, football 101. We also pulled out some solid runs in the second half that were called back, so even then they were trying.
Seeing how Carr had a sub 70 passer rating though, I believe running even down would have been a better result in hindsight.
Are you not capable of admitting a lower than 70 passer rating is a dog turd of a performance?
We know players were open, it was called out 4 times that he was missing them in that game alone. We know he literally set a record for the worst redzone offense performance in the playoffs, 1 for 8 passing - historically bad. We all saw him choke on the final play, it was just a throwaway in bounds this time.
Why are you trying to pass the buck on Carr laying a turd in the playoff game? We all know why, I just want to hear you say it.
Quit dancing, tell me Carr played anything other than a terrible football game under actual playoff pressure. Tell me a sub 70 passer rating is good. Can you?
There are many reasons we lost, Carr's terrible performance contends with all of them for the largest reason.
* Incoming post pointing everywhere but at Carr, then telling us 'we' have blinders on and are not intelligent, I guarantee it.
It is always projection for these types that dance around reality.

If only Carr had the type of luck Brady has, can you imagine being drafted to a superbowl winning team then hitting FA and a superbowl winning team picks you. I mean what are the chances. If only Carr were that lucky

Jacobs got most of his yards during the 4 game win streak after contact, some players can just put the team on their backs and carry them.
Carr did not elevate the team, he never pump fakes and rarely uses his legs to extend plays. Also Carr always let's the play clock run down and wastes precious time outs because of it.
Carr always seems to be calling audibles or something, yet can't see that Hendrickson is lined up one on one with Moreau.
You can blame Olson for his shitty play calling, but Olson can't pump fake for you or extend plays for you. Like he can't make the running back juke people or break tackles, that's on the player.
The player has to have vision and improvise, that's why they get paid more than coaches most of the time.

Got my haircut this morning, Titan fan was doing the cutting. She went off about how nobody can deal with this team when it is healthy. How even though Ryan Tannehill is above average, Henry and their defense is the difference maker. How they beat every team in the playoffs and they will do it again. Said she wanted Brady in the big game because he is average. Said if he did not have all those weapons for his career he would be average for his career and he is basically an average QB with superior weapons. How for his career players have come to the Patriots on the cheap so they could keep winning. How Brady has taken significantly cheap contracts for his career so they could load up elsewhere.
I then asked her if she were sure she was not a Raiders fan?

Contact powski
of course the offensive output is mostly on Carr, the offense has gone through him all year. Play calling was crap but Carr has several audibles in his toolbelt on any given play. His pre snap reads were not good either. His play action? What play action? He does not have one.
But you get into the red zone and the game becomes too fast for him. We saw that on the last play, rushing a throw rather than take half a second for the second read to open up, and it was opening up, make no mistake. He was not being pressured so he should have taken a bit more time and not thrown into triple coverage,
Absolutely pinpoint true.
It's time for him to go. As someone said before, he is damaged goods here. They actually said PTSD caused by being with this Edgar Allen Poe cursed haunted house organization.
I like him. If he plays for the Saints, say, and does well I'd be happy for him.
Right now, the idea of him wearing a Raider uniform again makes me nauseous.

What’s the record for the most coaches and coordinators and GMs a single QB will get fired through in a 8/9 year career?

The GM/HC/players around him change but the results are the same. Time to Free Willy.

Carr will outlast any new management or any new coach that is hired, Carr will even be here after Mark Davis is gone. Carr is the equivalent of a 1970’s refrigerator.

You know, look at it this way. Since Carr did us the favor of nuking his trade-stock by declaring he’d retire if traded. If we mercifully changed QB’s, Carr would be off to absolve sins and save souls.
So in a sense, aren’t those of us ready to move on helping humanity? We all just want the world to be a better place…and the Raiders a better team. 2 birds, 1 stone. Hallelujah.
There's probably reasons for this but you won't look
You are right, I don't look for loopholes to get Carr an excuse. I accept the reality that he played a bad game and was terrible to end the year with 16 turnovers in 11 games.
If Carr played better I would say it, he did not.
I assume we are back to square one excuses now with Carr next year. Not enough time in the new system, no stability, year 10 is when Brady got good, etc...
I have heard all of the meaningless excuses and yet here we are - a playoff game and a sub 70 passer rating from Derek. A Jamarcus level passer rating. A one and done ceiling into a rebuild as predicted four years ago by Kinz, myself, and others.
There is no loophole for that.
"Ferrel could have had more sacks but the interior defensive line was not doing it's job' - that's you, that is what you sound like.

So apparently Carr is not a man of his word. He swore he would not play for another team. Perhaps trying to save face as he presumably knows it’s very likely he is traded anyways once a new GM/HC come in and want to start over fresh?
