Would be nice to get the #1 overall pick to have a new coach choose a QB or trade that pick for a haul and go from that point. Jets picks would be nice.
The chance they do is 100%. And “they” is Doofus. I’ve gotten to the point that I don’t think any of it matters anymore. We could own the first 32 picks of the next 5 drafts and we still wouldn’t be able to coach the guys up or properly implement offensive and defensive strategy that leads to winning football games.

He is the common denominator and the great eliminator. The breadth of his loserdom is all encompassing and inescapable.

Until he’s gone, there is no winning for Raider Nation.

I can see where we pick #1
TENN #2
NO #3
Jets #4

Yeah, I would do a trade back to #4, if the Jets were offering 3 firsts! After that, I would probably want to trade back again for 2 or 3 more firsts!

Can anyone see a scenario where the Raiders have the #1 pick and a QB with elegibility left says....I think I'll collect a few mil more to stay in College another year.

I would....Would you?

Absolutely and that scenario is real and probable.

Raider cluster f[raiders_icon]cks have made me the man I am. Sadly.

That's why I am today a Rams fan......I wasn't ready to surrender my remaining sanity.

I was looking back at the Raiders draft history.
(I am omitting Carr from this because he was a statistical success, but nothing else.)

The last QB that we drafted that had any type of success in the NFL was in my opinion..
Steve Beuerlein in 1987.

Besides Gannon and Hoss (very underrated in Raider lore in my opinion), we can't even get a decent QB via trade or FA.
Absolutely pathetic.

Even if we end up with the #1 pick, there is a very good chance we will f[raiders_icon]ck it up anyway.

Mendoza, Simpson or Moore. But we have to be top 3 in the draft to guarantee getting one. That's if Moore come out. If not we need to be top 2.

Thats what Dumb Money would say.
You would have to make that decision based on the next year's QB draft class and if you're Likely to drop from #1 QB down to 3 or 4 which would be an economic disaster. Plus there's always the chance that your performance declines and you completely lose your big payday From a #1 Pick this draft. Professionals use risk management, the risk is too high unless a shlt QB class next year. Fans on a fan forum arent professionals, they are whats called Dumb Money. Most likely he has a pro to manage risk. Listening to you would be catastrophic
