We will see when the pads go on and who is playing with the ones during preseason. They had Rogers running with the ones a couple days ago at… RG. I saw him there during one of the film sessions. Now he’s back at LG. Although I’ve never seen him at OT he did play some in college but his arm length is on the short side in the pros. I don’t believe he has ever played C?RI RAIDER wrote: Sun Aug 02, 2026 1:09 pm Here is hoping Rodgers beats out Burford and Zuhn beats out Glaze.
Could be they are bouncing him around and/or getting him ready to be available at those two positions as a 2nd stringer, or, seeing he has some NFL experience he just may wrestle the job of one of the G positions away. Since start of camp I haven’t seen/heard Zuhn, Meredith or Pickett running with the 1’s. I thought Mafi did for one day? Those are the only other guards on the roster with the exception of Burford who has been running with the ones.
Ipso facto he will be in line to start or starting at some point. They wouldn’t have him out there with the ones that much just for fun. My guess is, this will probably fall on Dennison, as it will be his call who starts along with KK. I think they are both apprehensive about having Rogers and a new RT who doesn’t have very much if any (Zuhn) NFL experience on the OL.
They want the ability to run the ball first but they also don’t want Cousins killed out there. I’m under the impression Glaze is not a fit for this scheme but the alternative is worrisome. When cuts come around seeing we are first in line and if a veteran castoff that fits the system is given the heave ho I would be shocked if we didn’t sign him. Zero reservations they already have a list of guys they are expecting to get cut when the time comes…

Contact powskiIf Caleb Rogers is good enough to start, is it too much to ask for Grant to also be good? It's way early, but I think Glaze just isn't the answer. He's strong but not very agile. I think DJs legitimate badness will confirmed soon and they will have to give Zuhn and Grant a shot. We can't afford to save Grant for future backup LT now. Who knows if he's any good there, but that would sure be nice eh? Maybe it is too much to ask.

They have already tried out a bunch of new rb's since they dropped collier either 1 or 2 days ago. Im not sure why they are so fixated on the run and TE positions either. Those are by far, from an outsider looking in, the worst positioned spots on the team to be super concerned about.

I know they start early but it was 118 here in Henderson yesterday. Brutal TC conditions

It's a long season, injuries happen and poor performance on the field, scheme fits. They could be looking at players for a possible future roster move. This team seemingly is going to rely on the run more than passing. You need tight ends that can block, some of these te's may get a look at fb toorich72 wrote: Sun Aug 02, 2026 5:03 pm They have already tried out a bunch of new rb's since they dropped collier either 1 or 2 days ago. There's zero reason why our guys should be playing out in that shit. We have indoor facilities and our games are played indoors.UC__ wrote: Sun Aug 02, 2026 5:48 pm I know they start early but it was 118 here in Henderson yesterday. Brutal TC conditions
Somehow avoiding heat exhaustion and heat stroke doesn't make a player tougher. There are going to be very few games, if any, that are going to be played in weather above the 70s or 80s this entire season.
