I haven’t watched every game, but I’m just blown away that we’re not number one right now, given what I’ve seen. Just flabbergasted.

Our strength of schedule kills us.

Just seen Saints play Jets and Titans, while we of course play the Giants as the only “winnable” game we have left.

If we lose out we should get a top 3 pick. Can’t see us getting the 1st overall pick though!

If we lose out, the #4 pick is the worst we can pick. The 4 (NYG, NYJ, TEN & NO) teams in front of us:

If TENN can keep its SOS lead over us, #3 would be worst.

NYG (we play)
NYJ still have NO (also plays ATL)
TENN and NO play as well (also plays CLE)
NO plays TENN and the NYJ (also plays MIA & ATL)

If we lose out, I will be surprised if we don’t pick #1 or #2.

The massive Mock Draft Database has some updated mocks with us now drafting #5. You are going to like the choices better now -- a QB or a D-lineman (although one has us going WR). Many of the mocks have not been updated since we moved from #6 to #5.

Bain or Reese would be about the only defensive players i would take early. No thanks to Woods and no thanks to Downs.

But it's irrelevant though bc I'm full go on the QB (Mendoza or Simpson) in the 1st round train.

Only if we win another game. If we lose out, our SOS wont hurt us, and we finish no worse than the #2 pick, b/c NO still has yet to play NYJ and Ten. Those are three of the four teams ahead of us. If we lose out, we pass the fourth team ahead of us, the Giants.

There has to be 2 wins out there in those NO games, so we will also pass 2 of those other 3 teams, since the winners will either have 3 wins(NO, NYJ) or 2 wins with a stronger SOS(Ten). There are other chances too. CLE, ATL and Mia also have games vs those 3 teams. I think it winds up being Ten #1 and we get #2. If Ten manages to beat NO or Cle, hello #1 pick.

Watched Simpson in person and was very impressed..seems like a good kid too. I’d like him or Mendoza…only way I might lean Mendoza is his size..big boy

The Mock Draft Database has mostly QB or DL. One has us OT and one has us a WR. QB and DL are fine with me, although if all the QBs are gone, I would go OT or DL.

Chances are the Raiders will screw this up.

Would be nice to get the #1 overall pick to have a new coach choose a QB or trade that pick for a haul and go from that point. Jets picks would be nice.
