At this point we might as well get a complete clean state from the time in Oakland,
Maxx would get us at least one first round pick.
Maxx would get us at least one first round pick.
I don't get how he would command more than Micah. Micah beat him out in most of the meaningful stats while having 200 less snaps played, and that's with Maxx sitting out, so that snap count gap would have been even larger.

I've been vocal in saying I'd rather keep him, but it definitely depends upon the price offered. That's the case with anyone other than perhaps a QB. There is nothing wrong with keeping great players. It's also worth listening if someone is calling. But I don't care if Maxx loves Vrabel - he'll play where we want him to play, whether that's for the Raiders or whatever team gives us an offer that makes it worth letting him go. I also don't think Vrabel or the Pats care right now where Maxx wants to play - they've got other things to worry about this week.
If it's one first rounder in offer, well f[raiders_icon]ck off with that. If it's beyond the Parsons deal then for sure you have to consider the details - but I doubt that it would be that much. Don't marry yourself to moving on from him or you'll negatively impact the trade value. The Raiders should be, at least publicly, talking about how much they want Maxx as part of the future.

Maxx is under contract and all but the new staff would be best served if in fact he does want a trade, you then try to accommodate him, with fair value being the minimum. New regime needs to focus on building this team and they don’t need the distraction from the one player that most look to as the center piece of the franchise.chucker wrote: Wed Feb 04, 2026 4:05 pm I've been vocal in saying I'd rather keep him, but it definitely depends upon the price offered. maxx has been the one constant for a lot of bad years...thanks for your service and non-stop motor.
if he wants out to move to a contender and get a chip, give him that
me, i'd love to get reese or bain on defense from a maxx trade after selecting fernando with the #1 overall...it would be equivalent to the texans drafting stroud on offense and will anderson on defense...talk about turning around a franchise...

Heres my issue though, Im not trading him to a contender whose doesn't have a pick less than 15 or better in this draft..BlackShield wrote: Wed Feb 04, 2026 5:29 pm maxx has been the one constant for a lot of bad years...thanks for your service and non-stop motor.

Seriously though, I'm on the side of I'd rather we kept maxx. But Maxx for Bain+ maybe another ancillary piece seems like a pretty good deal. That would get me excited.

Cleveland
Dallas
Rams
Jets
Those are the
Teams with 2 firsts this year where one is in the top half of the draft bidding starts there but I would rather keep him

Getting the picks especially high picks would be nice, a different angle would be say a 2nd rounder or maybe 3rd and an or olineman or dlineman comparable to Maxx's status with him ideally being a few years younger. I think I'd be satisfied with that

I think Dallas would be a solid trade partner here... they have the 12th overall pick, and will be undoubtedly looking to bolster their defense. Most mock drafts have them selecting and edge rusher with this pick anyway, so why not get a proven, dominate player at that position instead? Plus, Clowney is old as shit.vtraider wrote: Wed Feb 04, 2026 5:46 pm Cleveland

the Raiders could turn around and use that pick on someone likeee... uh, Jordyn Tyson? I'd be all for that.
