No clue where to post some stuff not necessarily team related but could be? Feel free to delete if this belongs somewhere else.
Maxx and Parsons would be nasty. I probably wouldn’t pay the price though.

I think the packers may have set the positional value too high with this contract. I cant see anyone topping that for a long time. Its eating up way too much of their salary cap.

The Packers are smart. This is the kind of move that you make when you may be one player away from being in contention (only dumb teams would make a big trade when they have a SHIT team and NO shot - see Adams). Parsons has not even reached his prime. Parsons will have a chip on his should and I think he will be this years defensive player of the year (at a minimum).
They arent 1 player away, they just think they are. So its dumb. They put all of their eggs in one basket this time. If he were to get injured then thats it for them.

The Lafleur/Love combo makes every WR look like a stud. Golden is going to be a good #1 out of the gate. They supposedly love Williams. Watson has had big games. I think Love is going to feast this season.

You can say that about any player. What does that mean. They got the best defensive player in the league who has not reached his peak. His guaranteed $ is not much more than Max's per year (and he is younger than Max).

And their TE can catch. I think Love has a big year as well. I know they have had OL injuries the last few seasons. No idea of that situation now

History shows you're not going to win a superbowl with 3rd and 4th round picks being your #1 receiver. Rams might have done it, but they had Aaron Donald and Matthew Stafford. I think Green Bay is banking on Golden who I'm high on but it's definitely a gamble. They're not remotely as good as the Eagles were before they traded for AJ Brown. And the Eagles didn't get over the hump until they added multiple other 1st round skill position talents after Brown. I'm skeptical the Packers are ready for this all in move. I think they needed a few more pieces, and now they will lack the resources to get those guys.
I guess technically you might make a case there, found several recent teams where it was not the case or where the 1st or 2nd rounder on the team did not exist or was not a factor. Nelson Agholor being the perfect example, First round pick, never lived up to the hype and won a super bowl with the Eagles. But he was largely not a factor during the year, really did not do much in the game, I guess 84 years is not terrible but did not wow. And even then, they had to move him to the slot because he was not a great wing receiver. Technically they won it all with a first round receiver but it was not because of him and you cannot point to the defense since they gave up 33 points in that game and it took a trick play at the end of the day.

they have a lot of weapons and can score fast or run the clock. Their D was already stingy with points allowed, they just gave up a ton of yards.
Parsons could push them to the conference championship game

They better win it this year. They are already predicted to be about 50m over the cap for next year

As much as I think this was a no brainer win for the Packers, they better hope Jordan Love is a legit QB. To their credit, they obviously think he is by giving up two 1sts. I'm not so sure he is though. The Packers do historically draft well in the later rounds so that helps. We shall see how it plays out but I know one thing, the best defensive player in the game, not even in his prime yet, should never hit the market. And pairing him with another elite edge rusher (Gary in this case) is a recipe other teams need to follow.

Love took a big step last year and they have a coach who can really coach up the position. I think he has a shot to be really good and they just gave him another good weapon.

He did. But he's gotta be better in the playoffs. I do think Golden is the real deal. Just gotta see it all come together for the offense.

Golden looks good, Love looked good but as you say, put it all together. But they seem to be building a team of winners and I like teams that have a lot of winners at various levels. Winning breeds winning

I know some like to use "generational talent". Micah is a generational talent and a game changer. It matters not, but I do not think I have read any publication/article/etc. where they said the Cowboys won the trade. I keep reading about his salary and the salary cap. That is like the boogie man or the Loch Ness monster (it doesn't exist). Teams always find a way to shuffle money when they need to. They were already a solid playoff team. You add Micah to the team and they will challenge the Eagles to go to the Super Bowl.
