No top candidate will want to come to Las Vegas because nobody wants to live there...
I'm sure the 641,903 residents of Las Vegas and the 2,227,053 residents of the greater Las Vegas metropolitan area will be very interested in how you arrived at this conclusion.

We are entertainment not a pro football franchise.
Mark Davis did right by himself but going to Las Vegas was an obvious mistake if he wanted a winning team.
We have been told in the past that you were a gambler but are reformed. Translation, you lost a buttload of cash. Hence your hatred for Vegas. But you are wrong, coaches want to coach everywhere. Players will go where they are given good contracts. Your paltry losses gambling do not change these facts. I do not know how much you lost but frankly I can use my imagination to amuse myself.

I would like a Defense Minded Head Coach and a Good OC. We keep messing around with the Offensive Gurus but all of them suck, without a magical Great QB you could have Andy Reid calling the plays and it wont matter. Lets get some Defense Gurus running the team for a change.

So, Mark needs to get the hell out of the way. He should have zero say in either the GM or the HC search. Enough is enough, the Davis clan hires crap to do their jobs and we get crap as a result.
Do the right thing, Turnip and let someone else do your GM search for you.

Add to this second go arounds for a HC rarely work out but the third will?

The advantage of the mid season firing is it gives us time to evaluate possible candidates. I'm happy to repeat what others have said in that the goal should be to hire a director of football operations. Get them in place and let them do the GM hire. GM then hires the coach.
What should be a priority is making a decision about our identity and then have a recruitment process tailored to it. Find the staff who suit the identity not the other way around.
Not Gruden for lots of reasons.

Is it strange that I would want to give Rich Bisaccia a shot. Honestly the guy is a leader. Just give him a competent offensive and defensive coordinator and I think he would be successful

Hire someone to actually run the hiring process.
No more washed up proven failures for Head Coach.
No more morons stepping out of the “Idiot Box” and pretending they know shit about modern football.
Someone who actually has an offense that was designed this century.
Or a defense designed to combat an offense designed this century.
Someone who has malleability in their designs so we don’t have to gut the entire f[raiders_icon]cking roster again and again and again.
NO EX-PATS!!!
And for God’s sake, someone who can draft!!! Who can construct contracts!!! Who can get value for any outgoing personnel!!!
You wanna honor the history of The Raiders Mark? Then f[raiders_icon]cking win. Cause that is the history of The Raiders. They won football games.

Whatever happens I'm looking forward to cutting players because they don't fit the new system. Or is it the new new system..
..or new new new system?
I'm losing track
