Absolutely false. The representatives responsible for getting us that #1 pick are long gone. That is not that hard to figure out. I would take a second look at that Titans roster that year if I were you. That team and this team aren't comparable.
There is no reason why we shouldn't be close to a 500 team this year if Mendoza starts.

Yup, and that's the problem I had with how some posters or stat nerds handle things on every message board I've ever been on. The correct way to form an opinion is to
first educate yourself about a topic by researching and reading multiple articles on the subject or even read comments by other posters, then digest the info and then take an informed stance.
Conversely, the wrong way is to do the complete opposite by
first forming an uneducated opinion and when questioned by others, surf the net for articles with hopes of bolstering your position.

Coaches also work off intuition and there is such a thing as an "It Factor" as hackneyed as that term is. I am looking forward to watching the kid take some pre-season snaps.

The point that I have stuck with is if the goal is to put the best players on the field, and it should be, and Mendoza is outplaying Cousins throughout the offseason, then he needs to start. O-line nonsense or not. And quite honestly, perception or not, if he cannot beat out Cousins, then we picked the wrong guy.
And if you honestly dont think that veteran players, especially the ones that would give anything to win now, wont take offense to not playing the better player, then I don't know what to tell you.
There are plenty of people on here that want to start Cousins no matter what. And im sorry, that's just plain wrong.
im in agreement...this is fernando's team now and into the future the ony thing lacking with the kid is experience and the only way he gets that experience is to play, not sit on the sideline waiting for the oline to gel

every article is an opinion piece at this point...nobody knows what the owner or the coaches are really thinking, we have 2 camps currently
1. start the kid he needs experience
2. sit the kid and wait for the oline to gel and let him learn the game on the sidelines
neither opinion is wrong but we have many locals trying to shut down opinions claiming they are smarter and educated on the matter, while not defending their own positions on anything with facts or stats and when challenged they fall back to im putting you on ignore...last time i looked all of our opinions are valid and no you dont get to take the ball home cause you dont like to back up anything with facts or stats

this is hogwash, most of us are educated on the matter and have researched and read many articles on the subject and the correct way is to engage in conversation and not run away taking the ball home with you...this is a message board of raiderfans full of diverse opinions and i wanna hear all opinions and toss em around a bit even challenge em, thru dialog is how we come to agreements even if its agree to disagree
