Today was the very definition of "they should have stayed on the bus."rich72 wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 1:25 pm They werent prepared at all for this game, maybe the time change or the weather change from hot to cold. They came out looking flat and never seemed to wake up.

I don’t care if he gets banned or not but I think it’s wrong for some, me included, for getting in trouble for responding to his nonsense.BG3428 wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 1:19 pm Unfortunately it’s every Sunday and every post. I find myself wondering how he’s not permabanned and I don’t even know the history around here.

Maybe. But DCs love blitzing rookie QBs. They will still stack the box. Jeanty needs to get healthy and Rico/Kubiak need to adjust.mranquales wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 1:15 pm Devil's Advocate: What if Mendoza helps the run game by keeping the Raiders from having the most 8-man boxes in the NFL?

We didn’t show up. Defense stunk it up, didn’t set the edge, missed tackles and too many penalties. With the amount of starting cbs out for NE, we couldn’t even beat their backups. Still couldn’t block, running game was non existent and questionable play calling. Mendoza getting playing time was the only bright spot.

Defense played like crap and the offense wasnt doing them any favors with their lackluster play. Special teams made some huge mistakes today also with the missed field goal and the punting/coverage. All 3 were playing bad which is like a loss force multiplier.FlyBono24 wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 12:43 pm Defense allows 38 points and some people want to blame the offense.
As usual around here.

Oh on top of the no tackle d and the no block offense. They had so many players injured and you wouldn't have noticed they had so many out in the secondary.

I've learned from experience that the instigators on here usually walk while the guy that throws the last punch gets banned...go figure.Xramfan wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 1:27 pm I don’t care if he gets banned or not but I think it’s wrong for some, me included, for getting in trouble for responding to his nonsense.

It was a good run, and Jeanty getting stuffed all day. Laube went in in garbage time. Probably just a rep thing with that. Our run game is really bad right now.Rabidraider wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 1:37 pm Washington 1 carry for 5 yards.

And regardless of whether you win or lose by three TDs or one point, at the end of the day it’s still only one game and the record is 3-2. This one will sting for about a day or however long you let it..So get back in the film room and fix it. Buffalos coming to town.powski wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 12:54 pm I like how everyone (not directed at you), or most, myself included, said "NO moral victories" and then proceeded to think and feel like it absolutely was a moral victory.
Down to wire game vs top team, fighting to to the end despite late adversity. And this without turnover edge. I felt it was such a moral victory it was almost worth 1.5 regular real wins! And that we were 4.5-0 coming into the game.
I'm kidding about that, they mean shit. But it was still a moral victory, or would be if they existed which they don't.
Whatever it was it didn't carry over though, yes absolutely.
I hope this week doesn't carry over either. Good Lord what a nightmare.

What a dopey thought. We face the most 8 man boxes because we run the most 2 and 3 TE sets.mranquales wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 1:15 pm Devil's Advocate: What if Mendoza helps the run game by keeping the Raiders from having the most 8-man boxes in the NFL?

Miller got beat like Tyreek’s wife today, as did Taron Johnson. The lack of pressure allowed Maye to pick the secondary apart and it looked like McDaniels schemed to exploit coverage rules. Cousins looked shell shocked and panicky for the first time this year.
I don’t think the refs showed any bias but the sheer number of penalties made the game borderline unwatchable; they destroyed any flow/ momentum. Bad games are going to happen to this team as the rebuild continues.

Last week we went toe to toe with the Chiefs and we had a shot. This week we get crushed from the get go.
Neither hurt per se as we’ve had so much losing over the years. At the same time today? Shrug well have to see what they do next week.
